]]> Who has time to update their blog in this heat? I’ve been busy being fanned by chisel chested pool boys while eating frozen grapes.

Actually, I’ve been crazy busy with all sorts of things – none of which include pool boys.

    School is out and it’s hotter than hell.

    Kids need to be driven to and from camp or would like to be visited at camp. Or they just want to go to the mall.

    Nana has been sick.

    We got a used boat for a steal and have been taking it out on Lake Anna about once a week. Tomorrow it’s just me & my husband. Hubba hubba.

    I’ve been busy with my camera.

    Author photo shoot for the Counterfeit Farm Girl sequel.

    Next week I’ll be even busier with it as I am being mentored by the fabulous Marta Locklear.

    After all of my learning, I leave next Thursday for the Yahoo Motherboard Summit in CA.

    When I return, I’m off to pick up my 10 year old from aforementioned camp and quickly throw together her 11th birthday party.

    Sometime after that I get older.

    And then July is over.

So, I was out in the yard taking pictures of my
Cabbage Patch doll this morning when all of a sudden I burst out laughing.

Well, even though I had a perfectly good reason for my excursion (getting the right light for an upcoming shoot), walking around with a camera and a doll by the hair, dressed like I was, (basically my pajamas and polka-dotted wellies) I had to admit that I looked a wee bit insane.

Immediately, I thought to call my cousin and describe the scene to her so she could share my moment.

“I hope none of the neighbors drive by!”

It was then that I gasped and almost dropped the phone.

It seems as though I am not the only one in this neighborhood that folks should worry about.

Luckily, the baby was still alive when I found her.

(I’m just kidding. It was a doll, silly, so I just left it there.)
