Anybody Home?

Hi! It’s Raehan here. I’m looking for the key. Do you know where it is? Under the doormat?

I told MommaK I’d stop by to water her plants and check on the guinea pigs. You’re doing the same thing? Oh, here’s the key. Okay, we’re in. It’s definitely more comfortable in here. Here, have some twizzlers. Let’s sit and chat.

Did I tell you I met up with MommaK and her two delightful daughters in San Francisco. It was a good trek into town, so I left my toddler with a babysitter and took my four year old. I gotta tell you, as much as I love my toddler, it was pure luxury to have an outing and not be chasing after someone. We met the Petroville clan at Fisherman’s Wharf. The weather was foggy and cold. (This reminds me. I have to pick up some warmer clothes for MommaK.) We had a great, relaxed time.

If you haven’t met MommaK in person yet, let me tell you a few things about her. She’s very much like the person you talk to everyday when you visit here. She’s calm, caring, fun. She a good listener. She’s easy to be with.

This is actually the second time I have had the pleasure of meeting up with her. I wrote about the first meeting here, if you’re interested.

Speaking of MommaK, doesn’t she always leave the perfect comment. If it’s a sad post, she says the perfect thing. If it’s a funny post, she’s got a response that is dead-on funny. In contrast, my comments have so many typos nobody knows what the heck I am trying to say.

So what should we do now that we’re here? MommaK is great at getting us to play games. I’m not as creative as she is, but I’m going to give it try in honor of the Big K.

We’re going to play Six Degrees of Momma K, okay? I’m going to name three things I have in common with MommaK. You name a few things you have in common with the commenter above you. (This may mean visiting their blog.) Then, if you can, try to find something that you have in common with BOTH MommaK and the person commenting before you. This last part is not a requirement.

I will then come back tomorrow and name three things I have in common with each person that has commented here. Okay?

Three things I have in common with MommaK.

1. We both have two daughters.
2. We both have lived in New York and the Bay area.
3. We both played Maria in The Sound of Music. Well, this last one is not exactly true. She played Maria in the real play when she was in eighth grade. I sang the part of Maria in a Spring Music festival in the 6th grade.

Now it’s your turn!

I’ll be back to finish up my part of the game tonight. See you then. Can someone feed the guinea pigs? Please put the key under the mat when you leave.
