Crime & Punishment

Monday, July 11th 2005

Earlier I was sitting downstairs in my cool basement taking a break from the hot crazy day when I hear…..

“You suck!” being bellowed out from the family room.
Now my kids all know that word among many others is a big No-No in this house, so imagine my surprise when I hear my darling-precious-never-gets-in-trouble 10 year old daughter yelling it out. Just imagine.
I called her down and calmly asked her to repeat what she just said. She knew she was in pickle and quickly fessed up to her foul language.

“You suck”, she replied sheepishly.
“I want you to go up to your room right now and write that 100 times”, I said.
She did and now it is posted proudly on the refrigerator for the next week for all to view. That is the worst part for her. So very embarrassing….I know.
Your turn:
How were you punished as a child?
How do you punish your kids when they do something wrong?
