So, did you watch??

Survivor premiered Thursday and, as promised, there were several new twists to the plot. First of all, individual immunity for one male and one female was earned on the boat trip in to the island- whoever got there first. That was an interesting beginning to the show. (I found it funny that 2 castaways thought they could swim faster than the boat about a half a mile out from shore. Obviously they did not win the coveted necklaces.) Another noteworthy change was the picking of teams. The 2 immunity winners began choosing tribe-mates, alternating between male & female castaways. On and on it went until there were only 2 lowly people left looking like it had been a bad day on the dodge ball court. Those 2 unlucky people, Jonathan- who really did nothing wrong and the wacky English teacher, Wanda, who frightened everyone with her loud, original rendition of “We are Survivors”- were sent back on the boat right then and there.

Then there were two tribes- Ulong & Koror. After an immunity & reward challenge combo, the 2 tribes went to their separate beaches. Ulong, who lost the challenge, had the grim task of voting out a member and chose to send Jolanda home (good choice!!).

BTW- How lucky is Jeff Probst?? I mean what a killer job!!! It always strikes me that he must have one of the most awesome jobs on the planet.

Anyway- that’s my recap & measly 2 cents. What did you think?? Did you watch?? Be a good mate and leave your comments here…
