Here I was in 5th grade as a “Hobo” or “Bum”.
(Can you even say that anymore??)

Here I am after trick-or-treating sorting all my loot.

Here I am in 6th grade as a “Punk Rocker”. I dressed as a punk rocker for several years-
always on roller skates. Please note the cool leg warmers.

What about you? What did you dress up as for Halloween when you were a kid?
If you have pictures, show me, show me!

We tended toward the 50’s look and the hobo themes as well. This year I have a brand new poodle skirt and a new pair of saddle oxfords. :-)
I was a bum for about five years and looked an awful like like you did there. I also won a prize once for dressing up as Uncle Sam.
You make a very sweet punk rocker and actually remind me a bit of Olivia Newton John there in “Let’s Get Physical.” That dates me, doesn’t it?
Oh, I must mention that in kindergarten I was a clown and used my mom’s lipstick, which for some reason took a whole week to wash off. What the hell kind of lipstick was that?
You’ll have to ask my mom about photos, but I always remember her making my costumes. We were a family of clowns one year and I recall being the Pink Panther another year. I distinctly remember my parents nixing the punk rocker outfit I had picked out – picture Madonna’s Desperately Seeking Susan attire. Ahhh, those were the days!
I was a punk rocker, with the sprayed, colored hair like pretty much every year from 5th grade on. I hated Halloween. I was also a soccer player a lot, since I played soccer. And one time I was a convict and had a ball and chain. That was fun!
You were the cutie!! And did you ever bring in the candy!
Interesting backgrounds in the pics – yuk – that ugly kitchen wallpaper!
I was a gypsy for about four years straight.
[...] What Were You For Halloween? (petroville.com) [...]
for Halloween i used to love dressing up as a clown, complete with rainbow colored, afro-styled wig and the red nose. a few times i can remember dressing up in those horrible smelling plastic costumes of your favorite TV or movie character. you know the ones… they came with the plastic mask that had the elastic band that went around your head to hold it in place. was it just me or were the eye holes in those masks NEVER in the right place. and they would make your face sooo hot!! oh the things we put ourselves through just to get some free candy.
