There’s not a single Michael Jackson song that doesn’t bring back memories from my younger days. His music is forever embedded into my life.
No matter what you may think about him as a person and the way he lived his life, his music and his talents were magical.
With me.

Michael, I will miss you.
Rest in Peace.

The Thriller album is one of the best memories of my childhood. My Dad bought that album, and I used to spend hours reading over the lyrics to the songs.
Not too mention MTV. OMG his videos were huge in the early days. Didn’t you get a little scared if the Thriller video came on and you were home alone? ( Yes, I was allowed to watch MTV back then.)
Good times…End of an era
I remember riding around town with my boyfriend in his Datsun pick-up listening to the Triller album on cassette when it came out – I still pull that music out from time to time.
I’m with you. No matter what he will always have a special place. It breaks my heart that he became such a tortured soul. I hope he’s found some peace now.
How is your youngest daughter dealing with the news? I know she loves his music.
His Thriller video was probably the scariest thing I had ever seen when I was a kid. It still gives me the creeps – it is so good!
A huge piece of my youth left with Michael. Probably the most influential entertainer we’ll ever see.
Right there with you Kimberly.
Yeah, he was incredibly talented. What a sad and crazy show his life turned into.
Agree but, respectfully, Ed Mcmahon and Farrah – I’ll mis them, too. Kinda sad that the news media is not as obsessed over Farrah- would have been good for breast cancer awareness.
I recall seeing in interview with Michael Jackson where he said when two celebs die he was always terrified he would be a third. He *firmly* believed in the legend of the 3 deaths.

Michael jackson was and will be to me just michael! Posters of him and the Jackson 5 covered the walls of my bedroom room- Then while everyone else was into David Cassidy-Michael is who did for me! His song I’ll Be There is the song I sang to babies, and ok when my son got old enough he ask me politely “to stop singing mama, it hurts my ears”-The younger people remember Thriller- I can remember him and brothers on TV for the first time and the fact that he was the first black performer to be on MTV-his music was the sound track in my life for many decades-and I’m very sad that he his life took the turn it did and that now he is forever-
I agree.
He was certainly talented. I hope his family can find some peace.
I could agree but then I’d be lying. Yea good music artist. Good person? Not really…
I remember watching him in 1988 on the Motown special or what ever the show was and he did the moonwalk!!!!!!!!!!…….we talked about this for days after. What we saw was so amazing, we knew we watching history before our very eyes. I guess he received a call from Fred Astaire about how great his dancing was. He is a legend.
I felt so sorry for him in his last days……….he never grew up and wanted to be a kid forever! I, too hope he has finally found peace.
