In my hair’s life, the period of time between November 2007 and April 2008 went down in history as the year I fucked it all up and then some.
And then it started coming out in clumps.
For a year, a YEAR now, I have not done a thing but watch it grow back ever so slowly. Along with it, much to my disgust and horror, came the sprouting of gray hair (which I can only assume is my punishment for screwing up God’s gift of beautiful hair in the first damn place). I’ve been taking my vitamins, deep conditioning like a mad woman and cursing myself for the WORST hair decision I have ever made in my life.
Why am I tell you all of this? Because today I am once again taking my hair’s life into my hands and getting it colored. I’m only getting a partial which means only the top portions of my hair will be treated to match the parts that have grown out. I just can’t deal with grungy, drawn out wintery, weary, look any longer.

Girl that picture…well it just ain’t right
If it makes you feel better, I’ve had gray hair since I was 16. I’m not even 30, but I’m just tired of the gray hair fight. I’m letting it go. It was a conscious decision, made painstakingly, but I’m not rolling in the bucks and I can’t afford to keep it up!!
Good luck to you! Be kind to your hair!
If I let my hair go I would be completely grey. The color has damaged my hair so bad that I have no choice but to straight iron it otherwise it is this wierd mess. So added to the chemicals is intense heat. Oh, and well water. Got to love it. Luckily your hair is blonde so no one even sees the grey.
LOL! Good luck! =)
Ohhhhh you said a bad word…well two…’grey hair’…the horrors.
Now go wash your wash your mouth out with booze and get rid of that grey.
You can barely see grey with blonde hair.
I got my first grey hairs when I was 15. I’ve dyed my hair for at least 10 years not. I just switched to using semi-permanent color instead of permanent, with the idea of letting it grow out and letting the color wash out to see how grey it is and how hideous it might look.
The semi-permanent works very well, if anyone is interested, Clairol Natural Instincts. It’s less harsh and my hair is not as dry. Yeah, I know, but I’m not about to pay someone to do my hair every 3 weeks, I’d be broke!
Wow, I feel so bad for you. How frustrating. I’ve never had hair come out in clumps but my has thinned due to medications and maybe just getting older. I color my hair about ever 2 months…Over the counter. I refuse to spend a fortune on getting it colored. I am so glad it is growing back…We all make mistakes with our hair and have to suffer for it at one time or another … Like the time I got a perm and my husband said it looked like I had a birds nest on my head — I wore a scarf for several months.. Seriously. It was nightmare. Hugs to you!
I was shocked when you made changes to the sex kitten hair.
It will all work out.
This too will pass.
