We are no longer on the verge of the holidays, we are engulfed.

Picture taken at the brand new Merrifield Garden Center in Gainesville, VA. Stop by during their Open House this weekend!
Even though I didn’t host Thanksgiving, my cousins did a spectacular job at that, I have been busy writing about the holidays.
At AlphaMom, I contributed to a piece called Book Gifts for Tween & Teen Girls. I reviewed the book Wicked. Have you read it? I’d love your thoughts on whether you think it’s appropriate for tween and teens.
Over at BlogHer I pitched in on a group Monopoly Wii game review.
I spent Black Friday at Real Simple dishing out creative gift-giving ideas. Don’t forget – give me your best idea and you could win $10 Bear Bills Game Card.
And then at DC Metro Moms I thought about canceling Christmas all together.
Today, I won’t be writing. We’ll be decking the halls and enjoying a full house. We have much to be thankful for this holiday season. And you, my friends, are on that list. Enjoy your weekend!

You are SUCH a busy little bee these days! Look at you, all over the damn Internet.
Our tummys are full; our halls are decked; and some gifts are purchased. Now just a thousand more to go
I’ve not read Wicked but I’m in love with the musical and own the sountrack.
The Wicked book is horrible. Actually, anything by that dude I do not like.
But the musical was FANTASTIC!
I’d love to read the book. What struck me about this post those was the beauty of the photo…gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!
Also, I wanted to remind you and your readers about my 12 Days of Christmas Give Aways

Hi There, I just wanted to de-lurk and say thanks for reviewing Wicked. It isn’t a book I would have thought to review for this age group and I’m glad you made me rethink it within that context. I really enjoyed that book, found your review interesting, and made a supportive comment at AlphaMom.
