1. Stay up extremely late for a few nights before your scheduled trip.
2. On the night before the race, ply your spouse with excessive amounts of alcohol and promise him hotel favors. *wink, wink*
3. Do not agree to meet the rest of your party the next morning in hotel lobby before the race.
4. Go back to sleep after you pick up your wake up call.
5. Leave the hotel by 10 am - not allowing yourself the necessary 1 million hours to wait in traffic to get to the raceway.
6. Exit the line of traffic after only 90 minutes of crawling for 1 mile because you don’t want your spouse to pee in your car.
7. Realize that even with empty bladders, you will miss the beginning of the race if you choose to stay the course.
8. Outlast your husband in the giving up department.
9. Pretend not to be thrilled when he suggests that you just head home.
10. Work the phrase, “It’s the thought that counts” into as many conversations as you can for the next few days.
And finally…
11. Perform happy dance in private.

Umm, not sure whether to commiserate or congratulate (although I suspect I can guess!) The main thing is that giving up was HIS IDEA - awesome wifeliness still intact, and it will never be ‘your fault’ that he missed it :-)
Aw…. but what did you end up wearing??? (Saw your Twitter.)
and thus.. is why you are the better wife!!!
Dudette. You missed the experience of a lifetime right there. And it was a great race, too!
You definitely ARE the better wife, LOL!!!
Let me tell you what you missed: super hot sun beating down on you for over six hours, thrilling action of cars going around in circles for 400 laps, and deafening sounds that prevented normal conversation. On the plus side, you did totally miss some awesome people watching - quite an experience and one I will never have to do again.
Sometimes the stars are all lined up. Hooray.
You are waaaay too funny!
Naughty mamma!

Love your #11
Adorable.
Nice work, my friend. Nice work.
