Driving to Camp

My drive home today

Today, my husband and I are driving out to visit our daughters at camp. The girls have no idea he’s coming because they think he is still in California. It should be a good surprise.

From what I’ve heard, it’s been a very eventful week for the girls.
I’m hoping we (when I say “we” I mean me) can all keep our emotions in check about these changes when we see each other.

Wish us luck.

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • Oh I’m sure all will be well.
They do grow up too fast. FYI: while they are at camp they seem to gain an inch or two in height!
Hope you didn’t forget the twizzlers!

  • Aw. It’s quite a moment. I know you can’t wait to see her.

Both of my daughters started on 2 different summer vacations. The older one wrapped herself in a blanket and cried for an entire day because she couldn’t go swimming in the ocean. The younger one handled it with her usual equanimity.

  • It looks a long way!

  • A special mother/daughter moment when you meet. She won’t grasp the enormity of the moment as you will.

  • Great pic, love the perspective. Hope you all had a great visit!

  • Oh my goodness! I can’t believe that happened while she was away at camp. Did you luck out or what? Kidding… I know you would rather have been there.

  • “Daddy!! Daddy!!” and several other whoops and hollers like that. (Did I guess right?)

  • My guess is that you’re freaking out over it and she’ll be like “jeez moooom, it’s no big deal!” Although I’m sure she’ll be pleased if you fawn over her.

Hope your visit was a good one. Can’t wait to hear about it.

  • Speak Up. You Know You Wanna.
