Real quick, before I have to go tack a pony and freeze my ass off…
Do you think this blog needs an “About Me” page?
If you answered yes, please tell me one thing you would include on that page if you were me.
Off to the barn. Think warm thoughts for (and of) me.

I ♥ Indigo, Mary Boston, Phoenix, Bec, Holli, Jean-Luc Picard, Leanne, TamiW, Vicki, Ladybug Crossing, Jessica, Meg, Jennifer H, Diane Mandy, Sarah, Goon Squad Sarah, and Loralee.

I think that an about page is important.
Here’s why (My opinion, which I know differs from a few people)
Everyone has kind of sucky blogging periods or posts that are, “EH”.
When I am scoping out a new blog and I don’t really care for the main page post, I always check out their “About Me” page to see if it is funny/interesting/snappy enough to make me know that the post about watching mold grow on their ancient jar of Cheeze Wiz was just a fluke and that I shouldn’t write them off.
Loralee’s last blog post..Sideblog: Because Easter Grass is the fruit of the DEVIL
I dunno, I never read about me pages. I do read little about me blurbs in the sidebar, though.
Leanne’s last blog post..Our Home To Be
One thing?
You should say you are half of The Perfect Post Awards.
Sarah, Goon Squad Sarah’s last blog post..This Can’t Be Good
I’s like to see one!
Diane Mandy’s last blog post..What I didn’t blog about this week
I like About Me pages, and look at them often.
I suppose I like the usual stuff, like if you have kids and how many, the ratio of husbands to secret boyfriends in your life, and which hard liquor you turn to when wine won’t do the trick. :-)
Jennifer H’s last blog post..A penny’s worth
I always read the about me pages. I think Jennifer H’s ideas to include are spot on the money!
yes, i like them. what Loralee said.
also, with Twitter’s current rise in popularity, you will be having tons of new readers cruising your blog from your Tweets - this would give them an efficient way to “get” you and your writing.
i think you should include your secret to the fountain of youth. you look your preteens’ au pair.

Boy, you gals are a rip tonight! I love it.
Au Pair? Ha..take that crows feet
LOL! I always read the About Me page. I want to see if the people I’m thinking about reading seem “real”.
Who knows… I could be reading fake people and not even know it…
Happy Easter!

The About Me page is a good place to put a quick over view and introduction to who you are so that newcomers or people who are rude enough to only stop by irregularly can get the big picture and put your current post/posts in context.
Me? I know you well enough to know you are a wine connoisseur so you could leave that bit out. On the other hand, I didn’t realize until reading back about the wedding invitation/sister posts that your horse was named Jack and you let him in the kitchen. See? That would be interesting info to put in your About Me page. Or you could put, “You might not know this at first read, but I have dark spells.” And leave it at that so people would be curious.
That dress is spectacular- really lovely. Have a lovely easter, Kimberle- and enjoy the light of this day and Spring. xoxox
vicki’s last blog post..Rainy with a chance of peeps
All of your faithful readers know who you are and where you live…But if someone new happens to find your blog…without an “about me” page they are in the dark.
When I find a new blog I like to know the following things: state in which they reside, age, brief description of their interests.
My .02
Apparently, I am retarded.
Leanne’s last blog post..Easter 2008
As the others say, it is to wel;come the newcomers to your super blog. Your regulars know lots about you. A little more is always welcoming, though.
Jean-Luc Picard’s last blog post..TWQ: Songs With A Colour
I think you should have one - but the hell if I know what it should say. I would kill to have someone help me write a tiny, short bio - I think I’m potentially blogging to avoid doing that… 3 years, vs 3 paragraphs.
Say that you are a really nice person on and offline. I like nice.

holli’s last blog post..Happy Easter!!
There’s a thing which a blog I read (http://allthatcomeswithit.com/archives/659) did which is invite people to write a soundbite for his blog, like on a movie poster… Avitable did it too… It’s a good way of finding out what people think and writing an About page without, y’know, having to write it!
Bec’s last blog post..Chocolate Day
I’m late but Happy Easter!!

I agree with tami W. It’s nice to see it in the sidebar
Mary Boston’s last blog post..?I do.? Even when you act stupid.
After a long long time of not having an About Me page, I now have one. I kinda like it. I keep it semi up to date.
What should you include? How about how more pictures of yourself standing in the mirror with your Nikon camera?
