We only get today once every 4 years, so I say we do something with it. Whether it be paying it forward, something as simple as getting your nails done with a girlfriend, treating a co-worker to a cup of coffee, calling your grandmother or bringing your sick next door neighbor chicken soup, I challenge you to do something out of the ordinary today that makes you or someone else feel special (which would in turn make you feel good so really, why are we splitting hairs?). Make today mean more.
Of course, I would like you to come back here and tell me about what you chose to do on Leap Day to spread the good.

This is so cool. Well, I already have plans to watch a couple of kids all weekend, so I think that counts as my “do-gooder” deed of the day.

I went and bought my son’s birthday present from his Dad and, I’ve already wrapped it and am dropping it off at his Dad’s house momentarily.

My friend is getting married and I volunteered to be the designated driver.

Our parent volunteer group hosted a free activity night for grades 5-8 on Leap Day. Free pizza, chips, popcorn, cookies, drinks, a movie and jailball in the gym. Three hours. I ran the movie room.
I think that qualifies as a good deed.
Oh, and earlier that day I took my sister out shopping and set up some organizing tools for her. She’s mentally ill and lives at a group home. She was thrilled to get some time out with her sister, and the organizing tools will help her a LOT (if she remembers to use them).
So. Double the good deeds. I’m set. mk
