Think Pink

Monday, February 18th 2008

No, no, I’m not preggers. God forbid…

I’m stocking up on the pink because we’re throwing a little party here on Saturday. A pink party. The first ever, the premiere…(Yes, I know those words mean the same thing. I’m trying to do a build up here.)… Mommy Needs a Cocktail Party.

Kristen from Mommy Needs a Cocktail, a million of her ultra hip t-shirts and 30 to 40 of the most beautiful women that walk the earth will be shaking their tail feathers in Petroville this weekend – and the theme is pink. We’re wearing pink, serving pink cocktails and I even ordered a pink cake and pink balloons. I’m quite unable to stop myself, actually.

Took this at the grocery store. It’s called pink wine. Brilliant!

In attendance, we’ll have bloggers, writers, jazzercisers, realtors, teachers, lawyers and lots and lots of the coolest mommies in the DC area. If you’re in town, we’d love to have you too.

So, getting back to the pink. Any fun ideas? What am I forgetting?

Programming note: Scooter races will not be held at this event due to the cold temperatures.

  • and let us not forget the pink martinis. There will be free stuff for EVERYONE!! Melissa wanted to bring the strawberry white chocolate fountain but I had to put my foot down. Is there anything other than semi-sweet chocolate?

  • Oh man! No pink chocolate penis fountain??

  • AIGHHH!!!! I’m so sad I won’t be there.

I think you need to rent a cotton candy machine. How’s that for pink??

  • Pink chocolate penis fountain! that’s brilliant and so in line with the upcoming season of spring and fertility. Ostara (or Easter as the Christians call it) is on the horizon.

Other than that perhaps… pink frozen margaritas, or pink umbrellas for the drinks you make, pink nail polish for all the ladies maybe as a give away?

Have a blast, wish we lived even remotely close.

  • My parents actually bought some of that Pink Truck wine. It was pretty good. (or wait a minute — maybe it was Red Truck — never mind.)

Don’t forget to let us know what we can bring!

  • In Berline, they serve this kind of beer colored and flavored with a fruit concoction, which often makes it appear red or pink. Yummy.

  • [...] night, I put on my new lymphedema sleeve on to go to Kristen’s trunk show in Petroville, feeling very un-sexy but yet virtuous.  I was doing the right thing, again, trying to help heal [...]
