In honor of today, the day of L-O-V-E, I’m revisiting what I still hold to be one of the most romantic things I have ever seen with my own eyeballs (like, you know, that wasn’t on TV or in a book).
The following gesture of man-thought-out passion occurred 2 years ago, and although I’ve asked around, I’ve yet to meet this Mike. Where ever he is though, I hope he’s got a fine piece of ass woman on his arm - even if it’s not Beth.
Sure, my husband loves me…
Before he left for warm California yesterday, he made sure these were delivered.

Okay, I actually had to pick them up because our driveway would have killed the local elderly flower delivery man. Nobody wants to die an icy death on Valentine’s Day, right? And nobody wants the lawsuit…
As I was driving to my daughter’s school party, I saw what could only be described as ‘da bomb (and I hate that phrase).
Mike, show ‘em how it’s done.

Now I don’t know who this Mike is but I do know that he really loves his girl, Beth. I also know he that probably pissed off most of the men in our town who had to hear this story over dinner and dumb chocolates from CVS.
One dozen red roses $39.99
One Hallmark Card $3.49
One can of red spray paint in the snow - priceless.
Forget Hallmark - have you ever had a Mike moment?

Mike is the man!!!

Beautiful roses! And what an awesome story. I’d love for the hubs to do something like that - so sad since don’t have any snow ;-)

Pretty roses….Hmm I’m thinking I’d rather be in California or better yet a cruise sounds pretty fabulous right about now. Next time you’ll have to go too.
Mike was cool with the spray paint. I wonder how he’d do with the body paint?http://www.petroville.com/wp-includes/images/cuteassorted/lol.gif
Happy Valentine’s Day to you, too!

Mike AND your husband are both pretty awesome.
Awwww…
This is the type of thing I have asked my husband for for YEARS.
Will be showing this to him later tonight.

DUDE. That rocks.
Nope, I have never had a “Mike” moment. Kind of a bummer, huh?

Nothing like that. But I did get “World’s Best Girlfriend” and “World’s Best Wife” framed certificates on dates out. They now hang in the back of my closet. And all of my cards are blank so Nick can write his own message on the inside…which never fails to make me tear up with sentimentality.

hmm, my hubby also left for warm Cali yesterday but seems to have forgotten to leave me with roses! I sure hope he is not with Beth!
What a cool thing to do. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Sigh for a Mike moment. And now I feel bad about all the things I said about roses - you know it’s just bitterness and jealousy pouring out right?

3 cards, beautiful roses sent to the office, small Russell Stover Candy (I swore I’ld kill him if he brought more than that) and one beautiful garnet necklace given on the eve of my Valentine;s concert so I could wear that night. All rolled up into one week of attention to outdo 35 odd years of past relationships. Not bad!

Mike sounds like my Boo.
He’s been known to spray paint his love for me, carve our initials in a tree, and peel grapes at my request.
My favorite time was when I was stuck in the hospital with Bug and he figured I needed to smile, so he hired a singing telegram dressed up like an ape, to bring me balloons and a latte.
Was embarrassing as all get out when all the other patient’s mommies and nurses gathered about, and it scared the freak out of my Bug (he didn’t like costumes) but the romance was there.
