Who Me?

A post I wrote back in October for the DC Mom’s Blog was linked recently and I’m not sure how to take it.

Am I the bitch he’s referring to in that first post?

If so, that’s totally flip flop.

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • I’m betting he likes to show his.

  • Ooh, I hope not. How rude!

  • Um, if you were making a joke and I totally missed it, forgive me, but….he wasn’t calling you or anyone else a bitch. The whole thread there was just laughing at the lame billboard campaign. His use of the word bitches was just the slang use of the word.

And that billboard thing is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Flip flop? Hahahaa.

I don’t agree, it did sound like he was directing his “slang” at her post. I am not sure why, the post gave no position, it just asked a question. If he had just made the comment, then I would agree, it is slang. But since he linked it to MommaK’s post, I feel like there was more to the term “bitches” than just slang. Dare I say there aren’t any men writing about this ridiculous law, why couldn’t this guy have linked his comment to another blog?

  • no, i don’t think he was talking about you. I think he was talking about the government types who came up with that billboard idea…

As in they (the goverment/bitches) should get their priorities straight.

Like the first commenter over there posted - clearly there are more pressing matters. Plus the whole thread sort of alludes to that.

And you didn’t take a position in your post, just a statement and a question about how the readers felt.

  • I don’t think you are the “bitches” in that comment. I agree he was refering to the the gov’t as the bitches.

May I also add here that I do not approve of the usage of those words as acceptable slang references. The acceptance of the usage of those terms will lead (has led) to desensitizing. One day will it be okay for our children to here the F**** bomb dropped so freely? I find his use of the word to be juvenile at best. Just another less skilled person trying to sound “cool” and “hip” and “fly”.

  • I don’t think you are the ‘bitches’ he’s referring to. I think Jenny has it right. But if he were, I think all us mommies could all gang up and go kick his baggy ass.

  • I thought he was referring to you too at first. I dunno.

  • Another vote for the “no, not you” column.
