Right? Right?????
Three weeks ago a number of us swore off candy. No candy, no sir, no way, no how.
So, how did we do?

I can tell you in all honesty that not one piece of candy crossed my lips. I was 100% true to you and my word. However, I did make up for those sugar cravings by eating cookies and fast food. So, I’m not sure that the intention of starting off the holiday season on a good foot actually prevailed. Instead, as usual, I found a back door way to be right.
I gotta be me, I guess.
Come on in. It’s report card time.

I did not cheat. I stored all butterfingers in the freezer for a future date, when I can afford to put back on what I’ve worked so hard to lose.
Or until this dang promise thing is over, whichever comes first.
There was no cheating on my side! Made it through without eating any Halloween candy. Whew! I was tempted by an Almond Joy yesterday though.
I ate none of my favorites (smarties, candy bars, etc.) I did, however, (and it was completely due to my swollen throat) substitute some of those hard-candy peppermints for coughdrops when I ran out.
Does medicinal use prevent me from claiming victory?
yum… this Butterfinger bar is sooo good!
Candy, no. “CAKE OF DEATH,” yes!
I didn’t take the pledge, so I guess I didn’t officially cheat. But your post made me think and I reined in the desire to devour the basket.
I don’t know why I love smarties, but dang it, I do. Dumb sugar.
i didn’t have any!!

i still haven’t had any!
So here’s the deal.
I have eaten absolutely zero ice-cream since I made my promise, and don’t plan to until Thanksgiving.
I ate no candy before Halloween, but on Halloween night I had fun with my family after tricko-or-treating because, hell, it was Halloween damnit and I haven’t had a candy bar since I got my braces on. The next day we packed up Most of our candy and brought it to the dentist for candy buy-back. tWe are boring like that. The kids got money. Ii got the candy out of my sight, and all was well. It was fun and I really have been eating very little sugar in general.
But you knew all this already, didn’t you? You just wanted a confession out of me .
I made it until halloween—and then gave in to the devil treats the day after.
I suck.
Congratulations to all of you who made it through. Now go and have a mini candy bar to celebrate!
[...] many bite sized butterfingers WILL she eat after the no-candy promise is [...]
I am super impressed with all of you. I totally wussed out and didn’t even say I would do it, since I knew I couldn’t make it…
I (amazingly enough) did not eat any candy!! and even though I could have today – I still have resisted the Orange Slices across the hall that have been screaming my name for the last week & a half… I did have a 5 cookies, several apples and 2 cupcakes during the No Candy Pledge time frame… but I’m going to see how long I can handle this no candy thing… I’ll let you know when I finally break
Thanks for putting this challenge out there. I’ve learned that I do actually have some self-control, and I’m pretty darn proud of myself!!
WAY TO GO US!!
It must have been tough for some of you to keep to the pledge!
It’s a darn good thing I didn’t participate in this!!!!!
We can eat candy now? OH GOOD!!!
I wonder if we have any…

still going strong… no candy for me (I don’t know how much longer I will last though… I may cave soon!)
So, I totally just found this.
Yeah, I cheated. I fell down the stairs on halloween and broke my tailbone and everything went downhill. I’m recommited!
