Last week I found my first grey hair. Right on the top of my head sicking it’s tongue out at me from my Jazzercise ponytail. Today I found two more. I think they grew to replace the first one I plucked.
I’m scared now. Not only am I going grey but I’ve somehow gotten a 2 for 1 deal going on.
Help!
(If you still have not found your first, please do not feel the need to comment. Please.)

I’ve had them for a few years. The great thing for you is that you are so blonde and you have SO MUCH hair, you are seriously the only one who is going to see them, until you have so many that they’re in clumps. Just pull those suckers right out for now, save your money for those dye jobs. heh!
I was never so glad to have blonde hair as when I found my first gray hair about 5 years ago. My hair ranges from very light blonde to red to light brown all mixed together (sort of like deer hide)…so I just pretend the gray is platinum blonde and then I do Marilyn Monroe impressions in the mirror.

I get them in my eyebrows, of all places.
I have had them for at least 10 years now. Lucky me.
10 years ago.I just pluck them right out.

No comment. Are you sure it was grey? Not just an off-blonde color?
I was fifteen! I’m thirty now and must color on a regular basis. Dark brown + grey does not make a good combination.
I was just about your age, probably about 33, and I was shocked because my Mom didn’t grey until her thirties. They still clump in the same place, right near my front ear, and I try to disuise them with highlights, but if I pull my hair back, like I like to, then you can see them.
Found the first one at thirty-two, and two years later I now have like TEN. Of course, none of them could possibly be hidden away somewhere less visible. Nope. They’re all right at my hairline.
I was 12. No shit. And up until a week ago? I was entirely gray - at 44.
Great, huh?
Age 16. I am now a ripe 31 and my hair would be 60-70% silvery grey if I didn’t have such a good colorist. It runs in the family. It is expensive to cover up.
OK, I do not have a grey hair.
But. BUT!! I had to start using eye cream and I am only 27.
Wow..I’m going to be honest right now. I had to do some deep breathing after your comment, Britt. I’m falling apart here and you want to tell me how tough it is to be freaking 27???
*breathe in…breathe out*
Um, hi. Got my first grey hair at the ripe age of 12, and have quite a lot t at 30.
At least you have blonde hair, imagine if your hair was almost black like mine….. blah.
I was about 35, I think. I have dark brown hair, so they’re painfully obvious, which is why I dye.
I’m 42 and a few keep sneaking in. I do like you and pluck. I guess I saw my first one about five years ago. But it didn’t ask its friends to come party on my head until about a year ago. I still don’t feel like the five per month are enough to start coloring. Hopefully they’ll all realize I’m a boring party and hop on over to my husband’s head. He gets out of the house more!
I no no remember but I too pull them out when I see one.
It has been a long time, maybe 15 years. I pulled it out and stuck it to a postcard and mailed it to my sis. It is probably still around somewhere.
Get used to it. Sigh.
I got my first one around 25. I did exactly what you did. Plucked the little sucker and in grew like three more. That was the last time I plucked. LOL
It’s not so bad. I color occasionally. No biggie. You’re only as old as you FEEL (so don’t feel old and you aren’t!)
(btw. I absolutely love that little smiley!) hehe
LOL - ok, but my POINT was… imagine starting to suddenly be aging twice as fast AT ONLY 27!!!
I’m supposed to be… I don’t know. Young. Hip. Not showing signs of wear and tear from two kids!
Welcome to my world…
Since my hair is so dark that it is almost black, they glare at me! You are lucky to have such fair hair. It is probably not obvious.
We have a lot of premature gray in or family. I found my first gray hair five or six years ago when I was only in my twenties!
Trust me, Natural Instincts is your friend. Don’t pay somebody a ton of money to color your hair. Do it yourself. $5.
I found my first grey hair about 7 years ago and also used to pluck them. BAD IDEA!!! They started to multiply and before I knew it I had a small grey patch. To make matters worse, as they grew back they stood straight up on my hair and became so obvious I started to wear a baseball cap.
Which I still wear today!
Crap! Does plucking really lead to more?
I heard today that if you have facial hair (I don’t yet), you can’t laser it once it turns grey. YIKES!!
When I was 15!!!
Plus, you’re blond, it doesn’t count. You will just look lighter blond or like you had professional highlights put it!
I was 21. It was on my part. Pulled that sucker right out. Whew. Then nothing for years. (of course with frequent dye jobs, it doesn’t matter right?). Now, at 32, damn things are beginning to sprout up all over the place. I forsee monthly dye job in my near future. Aging sucks! :-)
The first white hair appeared the day before my 15th birthday and shone like a beacon among the rest of my brunette hair. The big shock came in my 30s - I was used to the fact of having to colour my head hair but discovered white pubes among the black. Oh my goddess!!
