My Co-Hostess, Lindsay, and I would like to welcome you to year # 2 of the Perfect Post Awards – “the power to the blogger awards” because you make it all happen.
In February of 2006, we popped the champagne and rolled out the red carpet for you to pat one another on the backside. Here we are today still lavishing in the good feeling of such a supportive community. Our mission statement has been simple and we like it that way. The Perfect Post Awards are a chance to read some of the best stuff written each month- and to spread a little warm fuzziness, too. If you’d like to present an award next month, e-mail me and I’ll send you the latest award button code a few days before the 1st. If you’re interested in looking through our past award posts, they can be found here. Thanks to each and every one of you for making the Perfect Post Awards such a great success!!
This Full House for BlogHer, hug her and make her feel creepy. I know. I know. I have yet to post my own personal BlogHer recap and here I go touting another blogger’s. Why? Because Liz captured a lot of what I was feeling but wasn’t always
ablebrave enough to accomplish. You see, I tend to be a wee bit shy.It was both amazing and overwhelming to be surrounded by so many talented and powerful women (800+!) for 4 days. There were times when I felt very confident to work the room and meet & greet but then there were other occasions where I became the wall flower that I swore wouldn’t be allowed to show her face at the convention. I guess it’s hard being “on” all the time. Hell, I’m still a work in progress so maybe next year I’ll be able to follow Liz’s sage advice.
Liz says:
“…the next time you get a chance to meet a blogger – especially, if she (or, he) is someone you admire, empathize, or even found yourself disagreeing with, from time to time – forget about all the drama and do what I do…I mean, did.Blog her, hug her and make her feel all creepy!”
I met Liz on the first night in Chicago. Let me tell you, she was one of the most interesting, down to earth, kind hearted women around. I truly feel honored just giving this award to her. Please stop on by to read her post and make her acquaintance if you have not already had the pleasure. You’ll quickly and most certainly feel right at home in her full house.
