A big BlogHer update is in the works but right now I’m dealing with unpacking, laundry and a house that has been MAN-handled for 4 days. I just wanted to update so you’d know that I did survive the birthday travel. Yep, I’m not dead…however after a crazy-ass weekend and the flight-that-shall-not-take-off followed by lost luggage on the tail end, I’m sure feeling half dead. Maybe that’s just a 34 kind of groove thang. Dunno.
More BlogHer pictures here.
If you went to BlogHer, tell me this: How was your trip home?
Got your Perfect Post Awards in yet? It’s tomorrow!!
I ♥ Kathy, DeeJay, InterstellarLass, Amber, Poppy, Liz, Bitsy parker, Belinda, Mamacita, Janice, AbsolutelyBananas, Soapbox.SUPERSTAR, Nancy, Lisa, Unga Chunga, Miz S, Hope, Antique Mommy, Raehan, AM, Slackermommy, Vicki, Jenn, MammaLoves, Silly Hily, PunditMom, Aka_monty, Heather, Suburban Turmoil, Jean-Luc Picard, Jenny, and Busy Mom.

Blessedly uncomplicated trip home. Sorry you had a rough time.
Welcome home, and happy birthday again!
Glad you’re back safely; Happy Birthday.
We got back fine, as Busy Mom said, but I noticed a whole lot of cancellations in Nashville. And Jenn’s flight to Dallas was cancelled. So did your Nintendo friend keep you occupied?
I had a great time with you!!!!
Happy Birthday! And sorry about the complicated travel. That always sucks.
Happy happy birthday–I\’m glad you didn\’t perish.
xoxox
Two hour delay, but at least the flight wasn’t cancelled. Off to manage my own laundry. It was so great to meet you and have a chance to talk in person!
My trip home in a word: HELL! Cancelled flight. Stand-by list of over 200 for every flight to follow to people out. Finally was the last one on the last flight out of Chicago to Dallas. American’s logo is AA because they frickin drive people to drink!!
More importantly, I really loved meeting you and hanging out together when we did. Personally, I loved your bluntness with me about issues and the whole “who cares?!” Thanks.
Hi. I came here b/c my friend went to BlogHer and told me she met another Jazzercise Instructor. (”She” being Lizarita of http://www.oopsdidisaythatoutloud.blogspot.com) Just wanted to stop in and say hello and also…nice arms! I love what Jazzercise has done for my arms. I’ll be back soon. LOVE your blog design. It’s one of the best I’ve ever seen.
Full bag check by TSA–and guess what goodies they found and had to pull out to inspect!
Three hours on the tarmac, back to the gate for two more hours back inside, load back up and spend another half hour on the tarmac–then finally home six hours after schedule.
I’m exhausted.
It was wonderful to meet you in person. You’re even more beautiful than your pictures!
I forgot to add. Happy (day late) birthday! I totally hoped it rocked and wasn’t cheesy with all of the traveling and flight issues and such! You of all people deserve to have a non-cheesy birthday.
Hey! You didn’t tell us it was your birthday! And there we all sat- we could have tuned up and sang. Happy Birthday, Kim- what a treat to finally meet you in person. And between you and me? You were already starting to drag before the trip home…get rested up!(’’
i love the way it puts all that html text in there- not.
Happy Birthday! It was great meeting you. You are absolutely lovely.
My trip home was not problem free but not as bad as some of the stories I’ve read. I encountered the meanest man on earth at the train station and then my luggage didn’t make it on my flight. My luggage was finally delivered at 9pm. On the bright side, I didn’t have to lug the huge suitcase all over the airport.
My trip from Nashville was delayed and trust me, all I wanted to do was to get home and fall asleep. Can’t wait to hear about your trip!
Take a nice couple of naps for me. Happy Birthday, sweet Kim.
Happy Birthday! Trip home was much better than the trip heading out where they made me sit on the tarmac for 2.5 hours, but mostly because what was waiting on the other end - my family.
Happy Birthday
34? Damn, you’re young. Happy birthday and welcome home.
I had fun playing ‘Mommy’ and ‘Unga’. I can get so close to our girls when I have them by myself! Wish I had had just a few more ounces of energy though when the little one wanted to walk the beach at night - after spending 4 hours in the surf earlier in the day. But the whole sand-shower-hair-Nana routine overwhelmed me! Make sure YOU do that for her next week please! :winking: I think with just a little encouragement (and probably being with her Dad) will bring GP into the waves. She had shark concerns. But she had a blast in the surf.
Sorry to hear of the travel woes! I made it home in just under 2 hours (driving back to Milwaukee from Chicago.)

Happy Birthday! Glad you survived. Looks like you had a great time…I just over at Leanne’s. You guys are gorgeaus!
I am late - story of my life…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Welcome home and happy birthday! It was great to meet you at BlogHer… you were the first person to come up and say hello at the Thurs night cocktail party when I was slightly (ok TOTALLY) overwhelmed by all the people, noise, etc. So obviously you’re like the nicest and most real person EVER! good luck with the laundry… I keep putting mine off and I have to say I’m highly disappointed that it’s not magically going away. Go figure.
This is my first visit and I just have to say… What a beautiful blog!!
:yahoo: Glad you had a safe trip home. Sorry to hear about your luggage though. Have you ever heard of Global Bag Tag? I don’t know if you’re a frequent traveler but I wanted to pass this along in case you wanted to check them out!
If I’d known it was your birthday, I would have bought your lunch! You were one of my ‘celebrity sightings’ at BlogHer and when you went to lunch with us, it was like dining with a princess. You’re a lovely, witty, wonderful lady and I’m proud to know you. I’ve loved you for a long time online and now I REALLY do!
Ugh. We couldn’t land in Atlanta due to weather, then as we were about to RUN OUT OF FUEL (really, some things don’t need to be announced on the P.A. system, Mr. Pilot), we diverted to Greenville, NC and sat there awhile. Fortunately, my connecting flight home to Little Rock was also delayed 2.5 hours, though I caught it by the skin of my teeth, by leaping aboard as it pulled away from the terminal, a la Indiana Jones.
I’m just on pins and needles to hear the whole story! Get that laundry washed and fill us in!!
Glad to hear you made it home - Phat Mommy and I were delayed 2 1/2 hours, but I would’ve puked without my luggage - it was soooo nice to meet you and I hope that you recover your stuff and, you know, from the rest of the stuff!
My trip home? You don’t want to hear about it. Because I live in Chicago.
Please don’t hate me!
It was great meeting you–Happy Belated Bidet! :yahoo:
“Man handled.” I love it. :-)
I’m just cruising through all my business cards and happened upon yours. Darling site and so great to briefly make your acquaintance!
This summer has been crazy for the traveler! Glad you made it home safe.
34 isn’t old! Stop! I saw all those pictures of you and you are HOT!
Happy Birthday!
BTW, I haven’t done the PPA in a while, been a little busy but please keep me on the list.
It was good meeting you last weekend (I’m the one who was hovering around Lisa and Leanne on Saturday. Love your site
