First, let me apologize for making such a fuss. I was trying to photoshop my wrinkles (and any visible fat) away before I revealed myself to the blogosphere. The result is a tad grainy but fairly true to form on a good day.

So here I am, in the flesh. MommaK, no more.

And Kimberly is the name - my real name.

Nice to meet you, finally.

Do me a favor. If you see this smiling face at BlogHer - please stop and say hello. I’m new at this “out of the closet” thing and I’ve never been to Chicago. I may be lost or tipsy or both. In either case, I’d love to meet you.

So…am I what you expected?

What about you? Do you post pictures of yourself on your blog?
Care to come out of the closet with me?

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • Welcome to the dark side. LOL

Everyone will know I told the truth (and did not exagerate one bit) when I told them all you were a sex kitten with that riot of golden mane. LOL

  • Yes! The sex kitten hair! Angie described you perfectly. You’re gorgeous, honey. Is Blogher ready for you?

  • Awww {{hugs}} I know that was hard for you to do. Congratulations. This is a whole new phase for you now, you’re going to come back all grown up and smart about the blogosphere, and wander off to problogdom somewhere, where people make enough cash to support their habit AND their families.

See you Saturday night, I think - looks like I’ll be at the cocktail party. I think.

    :P

  • You’re stinkin’ HOT MommaK!!

I’d definitely approach you (if I was going to BlogHer). You look fun, happy and very approachable! I hope you have a great time!

  • You are so purdy. I would totally do jazzercise with you. And no, I had a totally different looking person and name in mind, but I have no idea what. I thought you’d be taller.

  • Sherry

I am confused and must of missed some posts.
But then again, I don’t have a blog so that may be why.
Your picture is gorgeous. Have fun in/at blogher.

  • Gorgeous! But I knew that already. I’m afraid now that because of you, we’re going to be carded everywhere we go in Chicago…

  • Your Gorgeous!!! And you look so friendly and easy to talk to. I would approach you for sure. Have fun!

  • Dang. The “Momma” thing had me fooled. I always imagined you looking much more like a Russian peasant woman with a babushka rather than like a Disney princess. But this will certainly make it easier to find you and say hi at BlogHer.

    Hello, Kimberly.

  • Hi Kimberly!
I think you look fantastic, and pretty much how I imagined. :-) Am I coming out too? Well, I think it’s pretty much a done deal since I told everyone over at Bitsy’s that you and I had the same name….. (Hello world. My name is Kimberly too).

Have a WONDERFUL time at BlogHer! I’ve got my fingers crossed that I can sneak down to Chicago for Sunday.

  • Well, hello, Kimberly. It’s very nice to meet you. Feels like I’ve known you forever already.

    And?

You are a smokin’ hot Momma, K or no.

  • Hi Kimberly, nice to meet you! I post pictures, but no names on my blog. I’ll keep an eye out for you in Chicago and look forward to meeting you in person!

  • I thought you would have brown, straight hair. Funny how I create these images of people in my head! Welcome, glad you finally came out of the closet blog!

  • Chrissy

Looks wise you haven’t changed in the close to twenty years that I have known you. You have always been beautiful, inside and out.

  • Well I have seen pictures before…and your still looking good!!! YAY KIM!

  • Wow, what a hottie!!

  • It is very nice to meet you Kimberly!

You’re beautiful, I would’ve shown that photos years ago!

  • My goodness, you’re easy on the eyes. Thanks for sharing your pretty face with your devoted readers.

  • Okay you’re beautiful!! And I’ll be totally intimidated by you at the conference.

    Can’t wait to meet you!!

  • damnit to hell…i really wish i was going to blogher…

  • Girl in tulsa

If I looked like yu I woulda’ never been in the closet!

I look like me though. I have no pics on my site, and may never. But being single I do have a profile on some of those “dating sites”. Yeah, coming out of the closet is rough.

But sweetie please. Your Beautiful, not BOOtiful, chin up!

  • None of us ever thought that you would be anything short of amazingly beautiful.

  • Divrchk

You look fabulous! Congrats for outing yourself

  • A lovely picture.

I posted my picture once, and a friedn posted a picture of me once, but I’ve never used my real name.

  • Yep your beauty shines through—Enjoy BogHer and putting a face with so many friends.

  • Hooray for you on coming out of the blogging closet!

When I started my own blog a couple of years ago, I never even thought about being anonymous. By the time I thought that it might be a good idea, I already had tons of pictures and names all over my blog - oh, well.

Have a wonderful time at blogher!

  • I wish I were going to BlogHer now, Kimberly! You look super with that picture.

I did post a picture of myself long ago on my Journal when I went to Portugal.

  • Didn’t you just do a post about your EIGHT year old daughter?? NO WAY, there is no way you have an eight year old daughter unless you were like 10 when you had her!

If I looked like you I would have posted pictures a LOOONG time ago! Heh.

  • Nice shot! I admire the step you took, but can’t take it myself. A big part of my blogging so far has been the effort to keep it secret, both about me and to others. I did recently post a picture, but it’s me as a Simpsons character (thanks for the idea Dooce!) so I can have a face w/out showing the real one.

Enjoy the heck out of blogher!

  • Oh…my…DOG…what’s wrong with this picture!?! Absolutely nothing! You are just as gorgeous as Lindsay over at Suburban Turmoil said you were. Looking forward to toasting your coming outness at BlogHer!

  • Oh!
    love the hair.

  • You are gorgeous. I am sure no photo shop was needed. I have a link to my flickr on my blog and yes there are pictures of me on there. I hate having my picture taken. Have a great time at BlogHer!

  • Airbrush what wrinkles?? Puhleeeze! You are absolutely gorgeous, smart, funny and so sweet… Oh and I want to be just like you when I grow up.
    Have fun!

  • I’ve always had my picture on my blog. Never really thought what the big deal was. I did start a 2nd blog due to a psycho ex-friend. I’m not sure why I just had the creeps knowing she was keeping up w/ what is in my head..yet I have no problem w/ strangers reading. I know I’m strange.

FYI..I would KILL for your hair.

I’d like to go to blogher…Manbe some year. I just can’t justify it since I’m not blogging for a living and have a 7-7 job (some days)…

I hope you all have a wonderful time!

  • Can’t wait, Momma K!

  • You look absolutely gorgeous. I’ll be registering people and handing out ’stuff;’ I’ll be the very large dowdy woman with the bad hair. Please speak to me, for I am far too shy to initiate anything.

  • Yup! She is one purdy daughter. And I hope she has one fun time in Chicago while the girls and I head to the beach!

  • Mrrrow! I’m a straight girl, but siser, you’re hot!

    ~Monica

  • Miss E

You are so cute! Have fun!!

  • Lovely just like I knew you would be! I haven’t posted pictures of me lately. Not been kickin’ it in the exercise department like you.

  • If I looked like you I would post photos all over my blog!

  • Hope

Wow! You really should have come out sooner. You are one beautiful woman, have fun at blogher.

  • Ack! I step away for a bit and look what I miss! You are gorgeous! The face definitely fits the blog…if that makes any sense. I guess I didn’t really have a mental image of you when I read….I knew you had blond hair from the pregnant belly picture from the blog baby shower for Suburban Turmoil. The name surprised me a bit, though. I never would have guessed Kimberly. Hello Kimberly! Have a great time at Blogher.

  • Well aren’t you a little hottie!

  • After all that discussion, I was expecting the wife of Shrek!

But my goodness, you are truly beautiful and radiant!

Which is why I’m still in hiding. How could I possibly compete with you?

    Gorgeous!

  • I had a feeling you were about that beautiful. So you’ll be wearing your teaching spandex and I’ll be wearing my ridiculous Steve Irwin jacket and it will be second love at first sight, correct? Seriously- send me a note so I know how to find you. This is especially important since I failed to register (she ducks, blushes and pulls her jacket over head) and I’m not sure what’s happening with the original party plan. I know! I’ll stalk Mamacita from the time she leaves here in the morning!

In any case, I owe you at least two bottles of wine…and your darling daughter is a lovely chip off the block.

  • So pretty, Kim! Just as I imagined… have a great time in Chicago!

  • eeek! you’re gahw-jes! As if you wouldn’t be, that hair!, that sequined gown.

I’m over here busily trying to make myself believe I would’ve HATED to go to Blogher. You are wrecking my mojo, girl.

  • All this talent and looks, too!

  • You are gorgeous!
You look pretty much like I thought, only cuter!

  • It’s great to see you! You are gorgeous. I have two words for you regarding Chicago: Giordano’s Pizza.

You will love it in a way that isn’t natural.

  • What a babe!!! Have so much fun!

  • Actually, strangely, you ARE what I expected. I’d take a workout class from that friendly face! The name threw me though…as did Lindsay’s. You are definitely not a Momma K though. Maybe you were right to talk about changing that.

I am so jealous of all of you BlogHers that I can hardly see straight. Have the best time evah!

  • You are beautiful! I have pics of me on my blog.

  • Oh and my real name is Nicole

  • Okay, Miss Make Everyone Else at BlogHer Look Bad…

I swear I thought you’d be older and less blonde. Why is that? No reason. Just is.

  • You are clearly a beautiful woman. And I don’t see any wrinkles.

  • You are beautiful and brave. I’ve only gone so far as to post a pic of my eye on my blog.

    Enjoy Blogher!

  • Speak Up. You Know You Wanna.
