So Much but Really Nothing At All

*cue Air Supply song…*

While my head is swimming with things to get accomplished around here, I am constantly haunted by this blog. I miss writing so much. I miss dishing daily with you even more. I used to think and write but now I seem to think and do…and then think even less. What the hell does that mean?

The situation with the neighbor (explained in the previous post) has not gotten much better. We had a tree expert tell us that the tree was indeed dead and would have had to have been removed anyway…but that does not negate the fact that we technically trespassed on her property to cut it down. The cost is going to be $150 and my husband and I have decided to eat it.

I’m trying to craft a nice “I’m a better neighbor than you” email to let Sally know about our decision but I have not been able to come up with the right mix of piss, vinegar and artificial sunshine. Maybe I’ll just say nothing and keep her on her toes. Or maybe my husband and I will have that “Up Yours” party we keep talking about. I shall let you know.

It has been beautiful weather here the last few days. We did a whole lot of nothing but enjoy the pool over the weekend - which was glorious. It seems like this time of year books up as quick as December so we took the opportunity to schedule ourselves in some pool time while we could. (Didn’t we just get back from vacation? Yeah, but still…

Upcoming, we are hosting Mother’s Day, my oldest daughter turns 12, another horse show, many soccer games, a yard sale, 2 semi-formal business dinners (gag), a dance recital, my mom’s show where we get to meet her new boyfriend and I’m being monitored in jazzercise so I really need to be much better than I was today. Also, my house needs major spring cleaning. I want to garden and pull weeds and organize closets and assemble patio furniture (Okay, not really those last two but I SHOULD).

Speaking of today, I have been a such a clumsy dorkwad! I slashed my chin open with my fingernail while I was getting dressed and before the blood even stopped pouring out of my face, I got toothpaste in my eye. What a mess I was. And then I proceeded to screw up a routine so bad in class that I actually had to stop it and start over. That’s a big no-no but I didn’t have much of a choice. I was totally on the wrong foot and couldn’t seem to fix it. However, I must not have been that terrible because a new student kissed me on the way out. Can we say weird morning?

What else is going on since I seem to be making this a steam-of-consciousness-nonsense post? Did I tell you that the house finally sold? Yes. Finally. So that’s a lot less to worry about. Did I tell you that we are getting another Great Dane this summer? No? We are. Did I tell you that I’m going to Blogher in July? Yep, it’s my birthday weekend. Are you going? Please come party with me.

I probably should apologize for this idiotic entry but I won’t. If you made it to the end then just know that I love you the most.

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • Woo Hoo! First again.

I have cut myself with my own fingernail before. I actually have a scar. Doh.

Hooray on the house selling….and another Great Dane!

  • AM

You are such a nut! Can’t wait to catch up at the show.

  • Can’t wait to meet you at blogher!!

I’ve had mornings like that. Sprayed hairspray in my pits instead of deoderant. Makes it hard to raise your arm the rest of the day.

  • I’m feeling haunted by my blog, too. Same kind of stuff. In fact, you described it very well.

HA! Toothpaste in your eye! You are more of a dork than you let on.

  • I’ve one of those days for two days now. Is it some weird vibe going round?

  • nothing wrong with a stream of conciousness post. seems like it’s been a strange day all around. how exciting about the new dog joining the family… can’t wait to see pics of the new guard dog!

  • Oh no, I love YOU the most.

  • I can’t cut myself with my nails after they broke off pulling my laptop out of my bag. Yep. Sheared a the quick. The rest were attacked shortly thereafter by a pair of clippers.

You’ll be fine in class. I’m sure you’re a fantastic instructor.

  • I think it’s great that you schedule pool time. I need to do that, otherwise we seem to just get to busy!

  • Another Great Dane? I’m jealous, I think they’re so adorable! good for you…

  • II hear you on the blogging blahs. Sometimes I feel all anxious that I can’t keep up with it all, and then I’m like “Does anyone really care anyway?”

But life is good, and a kiss after a class is a very good thing.

Two Great Danes are a good thing, too.

  • I have no desire to go to the BlogHer conference (too many people), but it’s possible we will all be in Chicago anyway at that time and can try to meet up with folks. My husband will be there for a show, and I haven’t decided whether to tag along or not.

  • How sweet it is to be loved by the famous and fabulous Momma K.

  • That’ cool they do a blogger conference thing. Never knew the did. And grats on the new addition to the family. Post some pictures when you can.

  • I love you, too.

  • Congrats on selling the house! I know that must be a huuuuuge weight lifted. I wanted to go to BlogHer, but unfortunately it isn’t feasible for me this year–it falls during the time my daughter is SUPPOSED to be with her dad & his parents. I hope you have a wonderful time, and take lots of pictures to share! I’m jealous that you get to meet Mamacita. And that she gets to meet you.
