Not to toot my own horn, but I took some pretty amazing shots yesterday.

Did she just say “toot”?

Watchful Lil
It’s just so still and serene. I think I stared at this picture for 10 minutes last night.

Can you guess who painted this masterpiece?

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • Charlie loved the snow when we lived east, but hasn’t seen it for seven years!

Pretty doggie pictures. That must have been some hard snow to have her standing on the surface of it.

    What? A tooting dog?

  • I know Vermeer painted the original! Great pictures, MamaK.

  • Those are award worthy photographss!

  • Beautiful! I’m still sticking with my velvet shoes in the snow take on your lovely photographs.

And, ’tis better to say “toot” than to do it. At least, publicly.

  • Awesome shots!!
I know who painted that girl. She looks terrific in that room!

  • Breathtaking, MommaK! If I were you, I’d print that one and frame it!

  • Beautiful pictures! You are a real artist!

  • It’s been driving me crazy, trying to think of that poem. I finally found it. It was written by Elinor Wylie.

Go to http://www.poemtree.com/poems/VelvetShoes.htm to read it.
(I couldn’t figure out how to make a link for you.)

  • I keep coming back to look out your back windows. I want to move in.

  • I love Lil’s shadow in both those pictures.

  • the bee

these photos are fabulous. The dog looks beautiful against the ice.

  • Beautiful pictures! We got a bunch of snow here last night and no one was expecting it. I did take a picture of it snowing and I took a picture this morning, but mine are nothing like THAT LOL

  • Beautiful! It looks so peaceful there, MommaK! Who’s the artist in the family?

  • Toot. Hee hee.

Beautiful pictures. The sun is just in the exact perfect spot. I miss the snow. My dog would never walk on snow like that.

  • Those pictures are amazing!

I’m so jealous of that painting. I love the color on your walls, what is that?

  • Those are way cool! Congrats!

  • Wow, Those ARE very peaceful and serene shots.. Great job!!

  • What an exquisite photo. You should enter that ’somewhere.’ Since I’m so late with my comment, no need to answer your question.
Have you read “Girl with the Pearl Earring” and “Hyacinth Blue?” :pleasantry:

  • Those are very beautiful shots! I love the color of your walls too! I know who painted that painting, and she is extremely talented!

  • GREAT pics! LOVE the painting! Your wall color is the color I’m getting ready to paint mine!

  • I love the painting!
    Jealous….
I just read the book this month.
    It was great.
Also read The Red Tent after reading about it on your blog.
    What an amazing book!

  • Truly beautiful…heavenly actually. And I love the wall color. Our dining room is almost that exact color done in Venetian plaster.

  • Those are amazing shots.

  • Vermeer painted the original. If you’ve got that Vermeer in your dining room, then I’m officially impressed! (although I happen to know it’s somewhere else)

Love the dog in snow picture. Almost as much as the Vermeer.

  • A fantastic site, and brilliant effort. A great piece of work.h

  • I browse and saw you website and I found it very interesting.Thank you for the good work, greetingsa
