They need to get their toys out and go zoom.

This went on for hours and we all have the chapped faces to prove it.
On a snow day, what’s better than yummy pot roast?
I made Lindsay’s pot roast recipe - now a family favorite - in the new dutch oven that my sister gave us for Christmas.
I baked some bread, thawed out the children & the snow clothes and we all sat down to a yummy-in-your-tummy feast.
After dinner, they were at it again…
This time I just took pictures. My butt was still frosty…
Peaceful.
And the best part? No school today!

I have to go through our super spinny backyard sledding fun yet - the snowballs hanging from the dogs butt seem to be outnumbering other shots on my memory card. :p

When I see pictures like that, it almost makes me forget how much I hate snow…

We never get that much snow. But it did warm up to 50 this weekend, AND the sun came out for the first time in a week. My little mole eyes had to stay scrunched up at first as they adjusted. AND it was warm enough and dry enough and not slippery so I could take down all my Christmas lights. Whew! Now I don’t feel so white trashy.
That pot roast looks good. Will you please make one and ship it to me?
Your girls inherted their love of the snow from their Unga! As kids I would stay out for hours until there was no feeling left in my hands or feet! And we would look forward to hot chocolate and warming by the fire as our boots and gloves dryed on the furnace in the basement. We had some awesome hills! Hope more than 2 inches come the next storm so they can really have fun! Can you email me the recipe? I can’t open it . Love ya!

Are you as happy as I that we at least got a taste of winter? They started school here 2 hours late this morning. I have no idea why. The roads are clear and the temp was 37. How about up there?
These pictures remind me of a kid when my dad would pull the toboggan with our three wheeler. Fun, fun, fun until everyone gets cabin fever.
