I’m Ready…I Think

Saturday, December 16th 2006

The house is clean. The food is ready. All that is left to do is bite my freshly painted nails and hope it goes okay tomorrow. I have never had 60 (yes, the number is up to freaking 60 ) people in my house before - much less had to feed them.

As I was pacing, I took a few photos to share with you.

The living room is ready. See my prettily stacked wine glasses?
Don’t worry…they’re plastic.

I finally got a table for my entry way. For months it was an empty space that my Nana was very concerned with. “What will you do in here, K?”
And I made that wreath..with a lot of help.

The guest room is ready for anyone that goes through my plastic wine glass collection.

And the bathroom remodel that has been going on since September is finally done too.

The tree is trimmed and every present is wrapped that isn’t still on a UPS truck somewhere.

All that’s left to do is to get a good night’s sleep.

Looks like Lil has the right idea.

Good night folks. Wish me luck tomorrow!

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • Good luck, although I’m certain you don’t need it, and if I’m ever in the area, I am SO moving in to your new bathroom. Have a nice tall plastic glass of merlot, or something, for me.

    :winking:

  • I will see you tomorrow! I am so excited!

  • Love that bathroom, looks like it was worth all that work.

  • I’m sure everything will be great! Can’t wait to see you!

I’m down to 2 glass wine glasses - we’ve broken 6 in the past week. We had a visitor yesterday and Mr. Bug had to get one of our wineglasses out of the dishwasher and wash it by hand so she could have a glass of wine. Plastic may be the way to go… I’ll have to purchase them by the case… Do you think I can get those with sippy seals??

    xo
    See you later!!

    Momma K.

I loved your letter to your mom! Of course, I’ve got a story or two of some times I was a real a-hole to my beauty of a mother, and yes, I’ve felt so sorry about those times, but I’m also soo happy to have made it out the other side and to have such an amazing relationship with her today. At least we are self-realized enough to understand it’s all part of life, and that those parts we feel pretty good about in ourselves are due, largely, to our moms. What’s that quote? Something like we are part of everyone we know, and lucky for us, this began with our moms!

Also, your bathroom is GD beautiful!!! Wow. Mine is in need of a remodel something fierce, but I could only dream of making it look like yours!

And, lastly, what kind of dog is Lil?? A Great Dane? THE cutest! I want one!

    Hope all is well! c.
