Where have I been? All. over. the. freaking. place. School starts on Monday so this weekend (and yesterday) I got the kids all their supplies, clothes and shoes they’ll need to face the new school year fresh as daisies. With 3 kids in 3 different schools (1 elementary, 1 middle and 1 high school) it was more of a challenge to prep this year. But no matter, it’s done. Done. Done. Done. And so am I. I’ve had it with pushy sales women, rude perfume sprayers and the idiot shopping population in general.
Other weekend highlights included going to my favorite Indian restaurant, spending hours cleaning out the playroom (which means hours of separating Polly from Barbie from Little People from Animal Kingdom), a family car washing afternoon and losing the best out of 5 games of HORSE to my husband and the bet that was resting on it.

Tip: Don’t get cocky after winning 1 game and make a bet that includes certain *cough* favors when
you haven’t touched a basketball in 10 years.
That’s about it for me. I’ve got 5 different contractors coming by today (ugh) and company for dinner. Gotta jet!
Are your kiddos all ready for school?

We’ve been in school for two weeks. I hope I was ready and didn’t miss anything.
HORSE huh? Is wagering for sexual favors legal in the state of Virginia? :giggle:
deep inhalation …. and slowly release….
Just BREATHE!! And NEVER wager sexual favors, silly! Whatchuthinkin’???
Never ever bet unless you KNOW, beyond a reasonable doubt, that you WILL win… Mr. Bug is still trying to beat #1 Son at BBall… at this point #1 Son has enough TV time stored up (from beating Mr Bug) that he could sit in front of the tube for a year…
We are ready for school - most shopping is done. #1 Son is the only one left to buy clothes for and he wants to wait until school starts to see what the kids are wearing - not that jeans and t-shirts change all that much from year to year…
Breakfast on the first day? Panera 9am. Be there… don’t leave me there by myself, k?

My youngin has been back in school since the 1st… so I am not envying you what. so. ever. :P
I gave up on betting for numerous reasons… the foremost being I don’t want those favors from my old man LOL
I LOVE indian food! I spent my weekend being lazy and only doing the normal every day stuff. I guess I am lucky that little princess will only be going to preschool and there is almost no preparation involved in that.
Nope not ready for school. But I still have two weeks from today and I’m a procrastinator so it’s par. Wow 3 kids and 3 different schools! This should be an interesting year for you. I hope it goes well. My weekend was uneventful. I’m still recovering…I swear I’m not milking it!
I just have 1 still in College - he starts next week. The oldest just graduated. Then there is my future DIL, she is just starting college. lol, ready for school? No, ready for them all to move out!!
I have one in high school and her classes have started alredy. The one in college is going in town so he can handle his own supply buying (yeah). I remember when my guys were in grade school the year ended in June and started up again in July. There was about 4 weeks off. I HATED buying all new stuff. I kept trying to convince them that the backpack was still good but…..nnnoooo they wanted everything new.
That’s what I should be doing right now. The school shopping, not the paying up on the lost bet.
I’ve got one each in elementary, middle school, high school and college this year. So I can totally relate to the chaos involved!
What are you making for dinner? Have fun with your company.
I usually insist that HORSE is spelled HHOARRSSEE. If I lose round one, I make him spell out Arabian or Palamino before he wins round 2. Plus I always make it worth his while to throw the game. :winking:
I have mixed feelings about school this time. For one I am happy my “boy” begins college next monday in this same city so he will be living at home like most of the college kids in Spain. But on the other hand…college! I suddenly feel very old
but I know I will be always young at heart! :yahoo:
i’m doing this week what you did last week. mine all go to different schools as well and have different start time, i’ll be doing the ship off with the oldest this weekend.
enjoy your evening and company, don’t envy you having to deal with contractors.
Wow! You’ve been busy! Take deep breaths. In, out. In, out.
School started this week for me - teachers. I feel stressed, not only because I have no idea what I am doing but also because I haven’t had a chance to go Back to School shopping. Maybe Thursday.
I had a great weekend just relaxing with my “living in sin” roommate.
The first day of school happens tomorrow. Excitement abounds! Do you know how many outfits have been tried on in an effort to look fashionable and cool for the first day of 3rd grade? I do! I have picked them up, folded, hung and ironed every single one! LOL
HAHAHA! LOSER! By the way, I’ve been told it should be called a
“—-TREAT” not a “—-JOB”, because the latter implies that you don’t enjoy it. I’m just saying.
Busy Busy bee! My daughter is starting day care on the 7th. :sorry: I’m freaking out about it a little. So I may not need supplies, but I’m working on getting mentally ready.
Busy, busy, I am glad it is done done done.
