Today we’ll be packing up the ATV’s and driving out to ride some trails as a family.
Did I not mention that I am an ATVRM (All Terrain Vehicle Riding Momma)?
Yes, I am and it is all my husband’s fault.

Later, we’ll be heading out to The Great Meadow to enjoy the beautiful countryside and a fireworks show. After which, my husband and I will have individual panic attacks in the parking lot. Him, because of “some idiot driver” and me because of him. It’s a tradition and there’s no spoiling a good tradition.

hmm…something you dont know about me? I was voted “friendliest” in my senior class when I graduated in 1999!!
Our plans for the 4th are…celebrating my bday (wich is on the 6th, but what fun is that?!) and having a cookout with our entire family…letting the kiddos play in the pool and then watching the fireworks at the fairgrounds. The older my twins get the more they enjoy the “booms” as they call them. *shakes head* I cant believe my twins are about to start headstart in august!
What will be doing. Parade, BBQ, all that Jazz.

We are a 4 wheeling family too! Your plans for the 4th sound good. I remember one a long time ago where the cars were just packed in like sardines on this huge field. When the first boom from the fireworks hit every car alarm started sounding off. It was so funny!
Something you don’t know? I am eating a peanut butter and cucumber sandwich right now.
Our plans, Parade in morning, demolition derby in afternoon, fireworks at the lake, home to let our son be a pyro and light off all the good stuff while we watch and go oooo and ahhhhh…..

Something you don’t know about me.. I collect antique glass. Cobalt blue only. I love that stuff! I don’t really know why.
I’m celebrating the 4th of July in solitude, since my kids have gone off on their own vacation to stay with their cousins. We’ve never been apart for more thna three nights before, so I’m wondering how they will do. I am enjoying it!

What don’t you know about me? Hm. I always order appetizers. Did you know that? No? Well, now you do.
I may be doing some yardwork today, hanging around the house, maybe a dip (or a float) in the pool. I’ll definitely be eating some funnel cakes, drinking some fresh squeezed lemonade and watching the best display of fireworks in the area later today!

Happy 4th! The ATV looks like fun… be careful. Boy do we hear about a lot of accidents on ATVs in these parts.
First, I’m very envious of Raehan’s milk delivery! That is something I’ve always wanted, but we don’t have that service here. Something about me? My arms are double-jointed, which is cool and gross at the same time. Maybe I’ll post a pic sometime of my arm trick.
Today? It’s been raining off and on, so we’ll see what it’s like after nap time. We may head out to a town carnival where they’re having pony rides, a petting zoo, and all that…. We’ll be watching fireworks on tv though, as there’s no way our 2-year-old could stand them. He can’t even handle the garbage disposal yet!!

I like domestic things more then I say………I had to work so we are just relaxing and having our owm fireworks later on!
Wondering whether your fireworks got rained out. My mom wasn’t sure what was going to happen when I talked to her a few hours ago.
You don’t know that my middle name is Louise.
I climbed to the top of a radar tower to watch the fireworks the base shot off, and had a delicious fried dough, lemon-y tasting thing called a Fritella. It was wonderful.
Sounds like fun! And I’m so glad you’re not like those other celebrity parents that let their kids ride ATVs without helmets. Good job on the safety!
Did you know I was on the swim team in high school? I swam the butterfly and backstroke.
Nick and I sat on the couch and watched The Patriot. I’d never seen it all the way through. It was quiet around our place.
Something you do not know about me???? I’m not fascinated by fireworks. I couldn’t care less.
The 4th is over, and I spent it unpacking my house and organizing as much as a I could.
