My husband had to travel to Las Vegas on business today. When he landed and entered the airport, our song was playing. He told me on the phone later that he got all choked up and had to explain his reaction to his co-worker. (He gets very sappy and misses me like crazy when he travels.) For those of you who may not know, we eloped in Vegas almost 12 years ago.
Yesterday my six year old asked me if she could get pink streaks in her hair. She said “all of the cool kids at school are doing it “. Oh crap… She’s six! What am I in for when she’s a teenager?
Yesterday my almost 11 year old daughter had quite a story to tell me when she got home from school. Apparently the boy who did this to her arm a few weeks ago, grabbed a pregnant teacher by the shoulders and shook her. I am so glad that I made sure our incident was well documented. He was suspended – again – but longer this time.

That last bit deserves a Grrr and an Eek! I hope that boy gets some help for his anger problems.
Okay, you made me cry with the first part, laugh with the 2nd part and the 3rd part made me angry. Do I get a glass of wine with my visit today? LOL!
Awww that makes me sad we don’t even have a song.
Grrr is right,it sounds like that boy needs more intervention.
Aww, that is a very true awww!!!! wonderful.
Awww, we went away for the weekend and while waiting at the airport I got a pretty white gold ring I liked!!! see, I forgot one at home, it wasn’t planned but then Mr Mar said to go ahead and I didn’t wait to hear that again
How sweet! :lovestruck:
Uh-oh! Six years old and she already cares about what they other kids are doing?
I’m sorry…this sounds mean, but that kid needs to be kicked out and placed in a special school. He obviously can’t function in a “normal” environment.
Wine? How come Karen gets wine and I don’t? You never offered me wine before. I’m hurt. Got any cheese?
awww to your first comment, this is so sweet.
eeeekkk to that dead thing on my neighbors lawn, clean it up already before it starts to rot and vultures are circling overhead
and grrrrr to my oldest daughter who is spending more time working on her tan than looking for a summer job
awee that is so sweet that he still gets choked up when he is away from you just by hearing your song. How sweet to have a love like that after 12 years.. That is awesome…and Yikes….I hope that kid gets some serious help…
Awww is so Awwwwwww.
Eeek!!! Not at age 6! My Gracie is obssessed with hair and clothes and I scold her about it. Who gave them permission to try and be a teenager? It is a battle here that so far I am winning.
Grrrr – red flags are waving and no one is paying much attn where it counts!!
Awww! Your hubs is so sweet. Eeek! All the kids are doing it. Grrr! That kid should be expelled from the school. He sounds like a danger to others.
Awww! Monday was four months since Nick and I got married. He bought me clothes. I’ve never had a man buy me clothes before. They fit perfectly AND they were cute!
Eeek! Zed is going to be 11 exactly one month from today!
Grrr! My Ex is majorly pissing me off about something and I want to strangle him.
Awwww: My hubby called me last week just tell me that I was ‘his rock’.
Eeeek: I’m moving in the next 27-57 days, and I haven’t scheduled movers, packed a single thing, nor locked into an interest rate.
Grrrr: If my freakin’ sellers of the house we are buying don’t commit to a closing date in the next 24 hours I will seriously blow a gasket!!!!! I’ve only been asking for a date for THE LAST THREE WEEKS!!!!!!! How in the heck can I do ANY of my ‘eeks’ without a closing date?
I think pink streaks would totally rock! But that’s just me.
And WTF? That kid needs to be expelled. Seriously.
Loved talking to you last night. I wrote about it somewhere other than my blog. You’ll just have to wait and see where it turns up! :raspberry:
