Lost but Surviving

Saturday, April 8th 2006

I didn’t get a chance to do my usual Survivor post this week (sorry) but I did watch the show. Overall, I thought it was a decent episode. Without a long drawn out recap, here’s my 2 cents:

* Sally is Stephanie without the attitude. I think she’s amazing. She kicked major ass in both challenges and still remains sweet and supportive. I mean, really, am I missing something? I think she may be the best all-around female contestant to ever be on that show.

Damn girl!

* The fact that Shane is still around boggles the brain. How in the hell does that idiot receive an ounce of the leadership role on any tribe? He’s a loony-loon-bird-chested-argumentative-freak that needs the rug pulled out from under him pronto!

* Terry is fighting a good fight but by the looks of next week’s preview, it seems his cockiness is going to get the better of him. I know…I’m shocked too.

* I think Danielle was a ding-bat-and-a-half for passing up the Immunity Idol gift from Terry. With that and her Exile Island bond with Austin under her belt, she could have made it quite a ways. Dummy…

Did you watch? What did you think of Thursday’s episode?

I am still pondering and shivering over Wednesday’s episode of LOST.

LOST

* I thought Hurley’s invisible friend plot twist was brilliant. Loved it.

* I did not enjoy the kiss *blech*. Come on…did we need to see that?

* How is Sawyer able to get away with some of his lines? Isn’t asking if Sayid needs a job at a convenient store a little over the top?

* Just for the record, Hurley and I eat goldfish crackers the very same way.

Did you watch? What did you think of the episode?

You love me. You really love me.

  • The Hurley story made the hair on my arms stand on end and my stomach turn. LOL Survivor is getting on my nerves this season. I can’t put my finger on it. I think, with any reality tv show, obviously much of the reality is gone and each season characters play more to the camera and what they think will look good, rather than the premise of the show.

  • Sherry

I think you hit the nail on the head with this Great recap!!! Short and sweet and to the point.
I had to laugh out loud about the kiss on “LOST”…..It probably was one of the best episodes, especially since it wasn’t a repeat.
You are the best!!! You did right by your daughter to. I just couldn’t comment……I had too many points of view.

  • don’t watch either of them.

  • I watch Survivor and agree with your summary. Shane reminds me of someone – but i cannot think of who. He is strange tho.

Lost is a great show — but i’ve missed so many episodes – i’m now lost too.

Curious – are you a fan of Commander in Chief (w/Genna Davis). It resumes this week.

  • Danielle and Smokey the Bare Bear (Shane) deserve each other. She’s a dingbat and he’s an attention hound without an education. Does he not have tatooes in the weirdest places? Yick they both are just ick. Not happy with Bruce’s decision to vote for Austin either. At first I thought of Bruce as an intelligent man but since he’s following Shane’s lead…guess not.

  • I thought that was the only way to eat Goldfish crackers.

And okay, is anyone else confused about the doctor chick (her name escapes me now that I’m thinking about dumping a box of Goldfish in my face) – is she really a doctor? Or just a resident of the hospital? Or a doctor gone crazy? Or WHAT???????

Just once I’d like for the show to end with fewer questions than when it started. AGH!!!

  • Yeah, I’m a little bit in love with Sally. I’ll be sad to see her go. But, the way the game is headed it’s not going to be someone I like very much who’s going to win it.

  • Talk to me, Goose.
