Crash Dummy

Friday, December 30th 2005

Waaaaa! My computer took a nose dive on me yesterday. It has been acting funny all week - whining and shutting down unexpectedly. I was in denial about it and did not call Dell. It’s a new computer - only a year old! Anything but my computer! This can’t be true!

Anyway…to make a long and boring story short- it crashed and could not be resuscitated. Dell is sending someone in a few days to fix the power supply issue. Until then I am using our other old-slow-ass-not-cool-at-all-computer so I don’t know how much posting I will be able do. I will make it around to visit all of you on my 13 list though, it just may take me a bit longer. You can check out my progress below. I’m thinking it will take me most of the weekend.

What would you rather have broken - your TV or computer… or a finger?

If you really love me, feed me in your reader!

You love me. You really love me. Dontchya?

  • I’d MUCH rather have a broken tv, unless it’s on Tuesday nights and there’s a new Gilmore Girls!

    Good luck getting everything fixed!

  • AM

Sadly I’d rather have my computer broken. I don’t think I could handle my boyfriend wandering around the house with nothing to do.

  • Sherry

    NEW YEAR!!
    NEW computer….so sorry MommaK!
My sister’s has been totally acting up too. It has been in the shop over 3 times. Whatz up with that? XO

  • Poor computer. Hope it feels better soon.

    Have a Happy New Year!

  • Tough call ….. my tv, wait no my computer, wait no my finger. Yep, my finger. But then I couldn’t use the computer. How about none of the choices?

Thank God you didn’t say tv, computer, finger or ipod!

  • TV for sure.

The kids would freak but that’s okay.

  • Oh, honey, you should have called me. My dell crashed the day after the warranty expired and the sons o’ bitches wouldn’t help me. I’ve never used them since.

  • No doubt about it…the tv could disappear and I’d never know it lol

Here’s hoping your computer gets all doctored-up soon

  • Break my TV, but not my finger! How would I type??

  • I vote for TV. I need my fingers, and would be lost without my computer. Happy New Year MommaK!

  • The tv no question. I can get tv shows on my computer!! Hope it gets better soon.

  • TV for sure! I thought about finger, but hey, that’s painful!

  • Hmmm, that depends. Is it the night Lost is on?

  • Oh bummer! I’d miss my tv least of all…

Hope you’re up & running again soon…… Happy New Year, MommaK!

  • a broken TV, because i am a wuss otherwise i’d gladly do the broken finger.

  • My finger. Unless the TV doesn’t have tivo, then I couldn’t care less about it.

    Next time… get an HP!!

  • I’m always the one sitting there fixing it when it goes crazy.

  • I’d much rather break the finger. I can’t always afford a new TV or computer, but fingers are a dime a dozen.

  • DEFINATELY my TV. I never watch it, anyway.

  • definitely a finger… heehee. it’s so much cheaper to fix than a broken TV or PC.

  • I don’t watch TV, and broken bones eventually heal, but PLEASE don’t ever let my computer go down again. I’ve had problems all year and I don’t think my delicate sensibilities can stand any more.

I could be addicted, but I don’t want to leave the house to seek help.

  • I know how you feel! At least you are connected with another computer - if only 50% to speed. I’m hoping it’s under warranty!

I wouldn’t want to lose a finger - it’s not replacable! TV could go before the computer!

  • I’d say the finger. I need my tv. I need my computer. I have 9 other fingers to type with.
    LadyBug

  • Broken tv.

    No broken finger. Ouch.

    Sorry about the crash.

  • Back to wish you a safe and happy New Year!

  • I would rather have a broken computer but not by much.

  • Happy New Year, MommaK & family!

Oooo, too bad about the puter. I would pick a broken tv any day. [I need my fingers so I can type on my computer!!]

  • I would rather break my arm or leg. Then I could have more time to watch TV or be on the computer!

Dude! You should NOT have gotten a Dell.

  • Thanks for the Act 4 tip.

Also, I don’t think I got an email address for emzeedotes. Could you please tell her for me: Way to go, Maltsby!!

    Hoss

  • Happy New Year!

  • Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderfull New Year. Hope you computer is back up and running soon.

    cheers
