1. My cousin quit her blog. No, I’m not joking. Anybody else thinking of quitting? Hmmm??? Come on…I can take it. Just tell me now and get it over with. 2. I just turned in my final project for the Intro to HTML class I’m taking. Hopefully I passed and can move on to the Intro to CSS class next month. As you can see, I’m very into intros. 3. We’re baking holiday cookies this weekend and I’m making care packages if anyone’s interested. What’s your favorite cookie recipe? Wanna swap? 4. Monty won her contest at the Blog Thunderdome. Woot! Now all of those Mommy-haters can run, jump, sit & spin. 5. Today is December 1st which means only 23 more shopping days left until Christmas. I’m about .12% done with my shopping. Not good. 6. Did you know that Interstellarlass got engaged over the holiday weekend?? She wrote the sweetest post that you have to read -AND yesterday was her birthday. Wow…what a week! Congrats & Cheers IL! 7. Our tree is up, the lights are hung and the cards I ordered arrived months ago. I’m in the mood for a party. Are you hosting a holiday party this year? 8. This morning I was trying to convince my 6 year old to put on her shirt but she was being picky. (Quite a shock) “Come on, Honey. Put on your turtleneck and let’s get going” 9. BIL got married to his third wife in Vegas over the weekend. As I sat and refreshed the cyber-cast again and again and again (you had to do this to get to the end) I couldn’t help but ponder what on earth you get someone for such an event. I’m still pondering. 10. Have you heard that song “Don’t Bother” by Shakira? (if you click, it’s playing) I am so hooked on that song- esp. at the end when she says 11. It’s been a week and all I have left in my fridge is some pumpkin pie that is past it’s prime. Do you still have Thanksgiving leftovers hanging around? (hint: time to toss) 12. I spoke to my real estate agent yesterday and we decided that Jan 15th is it- the day we put this house on the market. Heck, if we wait until March maybe the bear will buy it. 13. no turkey leftsovers as we had ours in october but today i throw out all of the halloween candy that is still kicking around, can’t have the orange and black clash with the christmas colours.

Quit bloging? I never could… but I can see why people would, and well, you know my story!
Leftover pie?! That is impressive. Anything with sugar in it does not last a day or two in our fridge. Sad but true. And yes, today I will feed the garbage disposal the heap that’s left from Mount MashedPotato. What was I thinking cooking the whole damn bag?
I’m bummed that Meredith is closing down shop. I’ve always enjoyed her writing. I can sure understand the need to do so though…

First of all, I’ve had some lulls lately with my blog and haven’t felt as motivated to really go after it, and while I’m a bit down-in-the-dumps blogwise I still want to post stuff there because it’s more about recording my memories for my kids than anything else.

Love, love, love the winter decor. And the new 13 “motto” is pretty cool, too. Everyone I’ve visited seems to have their tree up already. Mine’s going up on Saturday, and I can’t wait. I started my shopping today (online), and bought my daughter a crapload of clothes. Each day I’m going to shop for someone. I’m pretty proud of my shopping today. I’ve never had this much done this early in the season.

Cookies – Yup I got a great recipe! You know how close I am to Betty and Dunkan… Well, Betty’s Sugar Cookies are to die for. You don’t even have to roll them. You drop them from a spoon. I love drop cookies. (Ok- I love all cookies, but I like to make drop cookies – The Simple Stupid method works best for the culinarily challenged like myself.)
