Axis of Evil
This week’s episode began in the middle of the night as the remaining Yaxha members made their way to the Nakum camp to inform them of the merge. They were met with a cold shoulder and a “no room in the inn” sentiment led by Jamie. After the new buffs were handed out, the newly merged tribe laid down for a tense first night of rest together.

Tree mail soon arrived with a canvas & paints to make a new tribal flag and news of a small Immunity Idol hidden somewhere in the jungle. Who ever finds this 6 inch idol can use it at any Immunity Challenge from now until the final 4. Everyone was motivated to find this little prize, but as far as I know, no one did.
Did I mention that the atmosphere at camp was a wee bit tense? There was clearly a 6-4 split going on with Stephenie, Jamie & Judd instigating the high school-like rivalry. Danni, Brandon, Bobby Jon and Gary were made to feel like the UNwelcome wagon had just come to town. There was no customary feast, no false camaraderie or crossing tribal lines to make any new alliances. It was more like civil war among 12 year olds in the jungle.
The Immunity Challenge

When the tribe arrived at the Immunity Challenge, they were handed a choice. If they felt confident enough to forgo the challenge and give up a chance at winning Immunity, they could partake in the feast laid before them. If they wanted a chance at Immunity, they must participate in the challenge and give up the feast.
Jamie, Stephenie, Rafe and Lydia opted to pig out while the remaining 6 gutted out the challenged. The object of the challenge was to balance a pot on your head while standing on a rock for an hour. The toughest part of this challenge was enduring the verbal abuse spewed forth by Jamie as he licked the food from his fingers. All but Danni were able to complete this task and moved on to the tie-breaker round. This round was a race up the temple stairs with the pot on their head. Gary made it to the top first and won the Immunity necklace.

Camp Dysfunction
Nothing but nastiness went on this week. Stephenie couldn’t help but be pleased with herself now that she finally had a safe and powerful position in the game. If only she could use her powers for good and not evil, I may just like her again. Instead, she sunk to new levels of low, in my opinion, by picking on the weak and allying herself with the mean and empty-headed.
Time was ticking as everyone, including the viewers, waited to see if Bobby Jon and Jamie came to blows. There have been quite a few firsts this season, why not one more? At this point, I’m hoping Booby Jon pops all 3 of the evil idiots in the mouth.
Rafe seemed to be in a moral dilemma after Jamie’s belligerent show of arrogance at the challenge. He was tempted to listen to his Spidey sense and leave the dark side but it turned out that the angel on his shoulder was not quite convincing enough.

Tribal Council

At Tribal, there was a lot of talk about “class” and voting with your heart but in the end the force was not with the rebels and young Brandonwalker was sent back to his farm.

Last week I asked if there was anyone out there that was still a Steph fan. I feel compelled to ask again because I am so sickened by her know-it-all behavior. (Yes, Stephenie, we all know you were on the show before. You’re the coolest- ok? Now get the hell over your big-headed self and bring back the girl I loved so much last year!)
You don’t still like her, do you?

What did you think of this week’s episode?

Good REVIEW!!!
I am sickened by Jamie and the immaturity of this new tribe.
I wanted Jamie off in the worse way.
NO I don’t like Steph’s big head and no it all attitude, I have lost respect for Stephanie….I am starting to like Gary, even if he is lying….it is hard one to pick this time, I even like Bobby Jon??? Should I be saying this??
Arrogant, yes, deserving of the million, not anymore in my eyes. I would have liked to have seen Amy take it all. Now I’m thinking that Rafe deserves it the most. I felt bad for him and his guilt.
Steph – Yes.
Danni – Yes.
Booby-Jon, Jamie, and the rest of the bumbling idiots who are still on this how…. No.
I was really hoping they’d get rit of BJ last night instead of Brandon…. Brandon was just as dumb, but he was quiet. But if they are smart, they keep BJ around as long as possible… With Him and Jamie going at eachother constantly like they do…. anybody sitting next to one of them in the final two will win.
okay… i just scrolled down this entire post!!! i haven’t watched the latest episode yet… darn! heehee… i see something about steph… oooh!
Stumbled on you today looking for Survivor discussion and oh my have you got it right that this new tribe is such a broken dynamic. This week just looked like revenge of the weak. Jamie has no class whatsoever and while I dont want Bobby Jon to win I am starting to like him more.
The interesting angle is that Lydia who was on the chopping block so many times at the start now seems to be flying safely under the radar – hmmm
Pssst … I keep checking for the really crazy thing … what is it?!?!
“Booby Jon” – ha!
I agree with you about Steph, too. She’s a different girl now that she’s all mighty and powerful (and so very cool, oh yes). Guess that’s what the jungle does to ya.
I can’t stand that Jamie.
But I’m not sure yet who I’m pulling for now. Maybe Gary?
Rafe seems like a really “nice guy” but we all know where nice guys usually finish on Survivor.
I want someone to find that darn idol…
As always, MommaK, great dish!
Todd and I both missed it last night, we were really busy. Thanks for the recap – but on a good note, the new Tivo should be hooked up by tonight!
Who ARE these people? Starbuck’s employees? People who make change at the laundromat? Religious survivalists? Outward Bound employees? I give up, even though I could have 16 more questions.
I ACTUALLY GOT TO WATCH THE WHOLE EFFIN’ EPISODE this week! YEAH!
Poor Rafe..I felt bad for him~especially after he stuck his hand in the hornet’s nest.
And I was sincerely hoping that Jamie of the Loose Lips and Big Mouth would get voted out. What an assclown.
I would have LOVED to see Bobby Jon pop him upside his big fat head.
Steph, well…I just keep hoping that she’ll morph back into her old, loveable self. *sigh*
Dreams die hard.
If you want “reality” you should check out my life.
These mamby-pamby little wusses wouldn’t last a day if they had to wade through the crap that I face. They’re a bunch of morons that need to go on tv to feel like thay can handle reality.
Other than that, the show is pretty entertaining.
Still pulling for Steph here but would like to throw jamie to the crocs! Lydia is really sneaking under the radar! She either doesn’t do a challenge or screws up the few she is in. Now that its individual challenges she won’t get by unnoticed.
i don’t watch the show, but i hope this show is giving you some ideas for your own camping experience this weekend, be sure to take some pics!
I still like Steph but am really not liking Jaime and I don’t like Bobby Jon ..They are both getting on my last nerve.
That sucked that Brandon left ..poor guy
I don’t like Steph, but I never did. I am rooting for Rafe now…
