SHAZAAAAAM!

The Challenges

For Reward: The hot and miserable castaways got a break from physical competition and instead were faced with a question & answer game.

The first question was “Who on your team is most in need of nourishment?” Jamie & Danni won that one and each got a tasty green apple.

The next was “Who on your tribe smells the worst?“. Bobby Jon and Gary won that round and each got to take a 5 gallon shower.
(I thought it was funny that Bobby Jon seemed to know he was the funkiest)

The next round was “Pick a man and a woman from your tribe who you think most deserves a scenic picnic lunch“. Margaret, Judd, Gary and Amy won that round and left the game to enjoy their meal.

The last question was “Who on your tribe has the most tribal spirit?“. Brian and Cindy were voted as winner of that round and then SHAZAAAAM….tribal split! Brian and Cindy got to remain in their tribes and everyone else was mixed up.

The new Nakum tribe now included Stephenie, Jamie, Rafe, Lydia, Brooke, Cindy, Margaret and Judd. The new Yaxha tribe now included Bobby Jon, Blake, Brandon, Danni, Brian, Gary and Amy.

For Immunity: Both tribes had to paddle out on the lake to retrieve three bags filled with Maya war clubs, then race back to shore and, one at a time, throw the clubs at targets placed 30, 40 and 50 feet away. The first tribe to break all three targets would win Immunity.

This was another close challenge that ended with Brandon winning it for Yaxha. Judd may have messed up Nakum’s chances of winning this one with his need to be a chest-beating macho man and save the day. He did connect with his target but it took an awful long time during which his team lost the lead. Hmmmm….not so macho, methinks.

Camp Dysfunction

In Yaxha, the two issues I saw were Amy’s ankle and Gary’s secret identity crisis. Amy is hurting and everyone knows it. She will be on the chopping block the next time they lose Immunity unless she saves her ass somehow. Danni is absolutley going to mess with Gary and I, for one, will savor every minute of it. I loved the exchange the new tribe had where everyone said what they did for a living and Gary lied- again. Danni had such a smirk on her face when she asked him where he went to school. I love that she did not totally pull his NFL card. It’s going to be a s-l-o-w death for the Gar-ster, I predict.

Over in Nakum, the new tribe was spilt 4 to 4. Stephenie and Jamie (The Asshat) were able to woo Judd over to their side with some East coast love. This was not a hard thing to do as Judd seems to be running on fumes in the wit department.

Tribal Council

Steph’s plan worked. They got Judd to vote their way and Beautiful Brooke was voted out at Tribal Council. It was an understandable vote but I’m kind of sad to see her go. She was a smart girl that was doing well. She just got caught in the crossfire. Hell, it happens.
