Another great show, wouldn’t you say?
The Challenges
The Reward Challenge was a “blind build”. I thought both Gary and Brooke did a really great job calling directions. Brooke wasn’t as quick and didn’t prevent some painful collisions, but she got the job done. Yaxha had a big lead which they quickly blew once they took off their blindfolds and had to actually work together. Nakum, on the other hand, came together well and kicked butt getting their tent up. In the end, it was close but Nakum won the reward challenge and got to take pillows, lanterns, a tarp and blankets back to camp with them.

The Immunity Challenge was an ancient Mayan game of court ball. It was kind of like 3 on 3 basketball played on a huge, shifty net (so no bouncing, get it?). The guys did well on both teams but Nakum had Yaxha sorely outmatched when it came to the ladies. Stephenie was the only strong girl player on Yaxha, with the others either injured or very weak. On the other team, all of the girls played well- esp. Danni. She was amazing!! I really like that chick! In the end, Nakum won this challenge as well.
Camp Dysfunction
Over in Nakum, they had a monkey and a mommy getting on their nerves. Margaret, the nurse, seemed to be rubbing a few of the guys the wrong way when they were trying to hoist up and position the tarp properly. Personally, I think young guys just don’t like hearing a woman tell them how to do caveman stuff. *yawn* Get over it.
In Yaxha, Brianna was trying to show her worth although I missed what she actually did besides grind corn. Her side interview was funny to me because she sounded like she was trying to convince everyone as well as herself that she was an asset to the tribe and deserved to be there. Did it work? Nope.
Tribal Council
No shocker. Brianna was sent home 7-1. It was a good vote. I guess she wasn’t pretty or crazy enough to stay, according to Jamie (the asshat).
A few Random Thoughts
This is neither here nor there but doesn’t Brooke remind you of Julia Stiles? I mean she looks like her and sounds just like her too. Weird…
I’m loving Danni. I mean how ripped is this girl?? And she rocks in challenges. Do you think she’s had work done? Her lips are really pouty and big - as are the boobs. Fake or real, I like her.
It seems like Yaxha is bound for failure unless someone steps up to lead. Stephenie or Gary would be a good pick, but I think both are scared that they will get the axe if they step up.

Sorry, Steph is my girl! I wanna be just like her when I grow up! Danni’s body freaks me out!!! I agree if either Steph or Gary step up they’ll get the axe…Margaret best watch her butt..too many hens get pecked!!

Nope, I was watching my old favorite, ER, last night. I love that show. I’m going to be so sad when it goes off the air!
Wel…. I tivo’d Survivor, CSI, and ER. So at some point when the kid’s get to bed, I’ll get to see all three!! I agree with InterstellarLass though, ER still rocks. It will be sad when itends.
I did watch Survivor though last night right away, before turning in myself. It was another good one! My favorite to go all the way is Steph as well. She wants it so badly…
Great assessment MommaK - I really like your summaries after watching it for myself! You pick up small things I miss, like the resemblence between Brooke and Julia Stiles.
I’m out of the loop too! I’ve never gotten into Survivor…
I like that they are playing different games for the challenges this time. I cracked up at BJ’s comment about being a “man” in regard to Margaret’s “advice”. Too funny. Danni and Steph seem to be tough competitors.
BTW, I didn’t get to play yesterday, but morphed today’s post to give you two extra…

Danni reminds me of person who has overcome anorexia. If she did have work done…she needs more. Why can’t people just be themselves!!!

Haven’t watched it yet- I Tivo it and watch the kids on fridays-so I see I have alot to look forward too-

And I think you’re right about Steph & Gary…I’ll bet they’d send Steph right home. I think they want to try and just keep her until a merge…

I kinda thought Steph had already stepped up to take the lead. I fear if she did so more boldly though, she’ll be gone.
I love Steph! I want her to win. I want her team to buckle down and win some challenges!
I am pissed at those guys for ragging on Margaret when she saved their sorry asses when they were dehydrated! But, partly thats just because I am a nurse!
I was watching the baseball game and basking in the afterglow of Lost. Sorry, no Survivor watcher here…
Once again I haven’t gotten into the show. I wanted to but I had too much going on. Guess I’ll have to live vicariously! Happy Weekend Momma!

Yaxha- Steph is doomed once again to go to more tribal councils than any other player ever! Poor thing… she’s just too cute for that.
We have something called ‘Survivor’ here in England. It’s called ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’. Some minor celebrities are sent to the jungles of Australia and live with each other, enduring hardships. One challenge was to eat insects.
I don’t think this type of show can last long. Two or three episodes at most. The premise is pretty suckeroo.
I definitely see the Brooke=Julia Stiles thing.

You always make me wish that I watched Survivor. But I never do!
as a huge survivor fan….i’m rooting for brooke only because i drew her name and paid five bucks in an illegal survivor pool at the hamster cage….anyways….this season reminds me of the africa season…it’s a bit drab and boring…i mean bring on the food eating challenges…let’s see how ole bobby jesus jon and stephanie can outwit the others in this….i’m glad brianne went home but i must say am not impressed with former NFL star gary at all…..
