Did you ever play MASH on the playground at school?

You pick 4 boys/girls (3 you like and 1 icky one) , 4 numbers for the amount children you will have, 4 jobs (3 good and 1 bad) and MASH across the top. MASH stands for Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House. Next, pick a number for the middle which you will count by. Then you begin. Count by the number in the box and cross off whatever you land on.

So I would marry Steve, have 7 children, live in a house and be a doctor when I grow up. See?
Your turn:
What silly love games did you play as a kid?
How old were you when you had your first real kiss?
(by real kiss, I mean more action than a peck)
What was his/her name & where were you?

I used to play MASH. I also liked the one where you folded up a sheet of paper and you use your fingers to read out the fortunes..You know that one?
never heard of mash. my favorite was red light, green light, where the person at the front would say either red light or green light, red for stop, green for go. you had to stop like statutes until you got the green again. we played it for hours, i don’t think the kids play that game anymore. my first real kiss was with my bf in grade 7 and way, way too much action. i remember his name, but i’m not going to type it here, you never know who might be reading.
The paper that you folded up like origami and put names and things in.
or the apple…you twist the stem saying a letter for each twist until it comes off. Then that letter stands for the first name of the boy you would marry.
First real kiss…
David at his house sitting on the sofa watching TV eating apples.
I still remember that taste and how our mouths were cool.
Sweet memory….fast forward 24 years and he is a pot head/loser guy.
He was so sweet back then though.
Oh yeah, we played that, only we added cars and place you want to live. We also played the chinese fortune tellers.
My first real kiss was with Chris Duncan under the pier at the Neptune Festival down at the beach in 7th grade, so I was 13?
OMG! I totally forgot about that! I used to play MASH all the time! And those Chinese Fortune Tellers too!
Let’s see. I guess my first ‘real’ kiss was maybe 8th grade, his name was David. I don’t remember where though. Dangit. Maybe a park?
We played MASH, but like soapbox we also had cars and where to live, and many more. But you would only get to pick 3, and the other person would pick the 4th and figure out the fortune.
1st real kiss was at 14 years old, with Jeff, at a scary movie.
We did the folded up paper thing. We also did the apple stem. Like Mary in #3.
First real kiss I was 13. His name is so different that if I type it I know someday he will google his name and find it. LOL Duett Parrish. It was just at dusk down at my parents pond. I felt like the heroine of a romance novel. LOL
MommaK, this is a walk down memory lane for me and I am also blushing like a school girl. I never got over that boy.
We did the folded up paper thing, what was it called? Similar, though.
I kissed a boy at the skating rink when I was 12 or 13. His name? Hah!
I can’t remember the names of all the ones I…oops, nevermind.
I don’t remember that stuff, so I played the MASH game. I would have one kid, work as a trashman, live in an apartment, and marry Billy. But I guess I could only marry Billy if I moved to Massachusetts.
Was Steve the icky one? Just wondering.
I think we did play a version of that yard in the neighborhood, scratching it in the dirt.
First kiss was quite lovely. I was about 5 or 6. I was in a neighbors house. They had a nephew from Columbia staying with them. He was very cute. We were playing hide and go seek and three of us were hiding in a closet. Me, the cute Columbian and a the neighbor girl (about 4 years younger than us). He gave me a big smoocheroosky.
Funny, we never talked about it. Just the kiss and then we went on with our lives. Kind of nice that way sometimes.
I remember the folded paper thing, and I can still make them. In fact, we were bored at work a few weeks ago and made teeny ones for customer service (inside one of the folds, it read “Customer wants to return book from another store, Try again.”
I remember slam books, too, and I got in trouble in 7th grade while I was passing one around. My bad.
I love that MASH game! Very silly.
MASH? Is this something to do with Hawkeye Pierce?
We played the Mash game as well. We also would put all the kids names in our class in two different jars and pick out who would marry who…lol.
My first kissing game was when I was 15. But my first real kiss was when I was 14 and he was horrid at it. I swear a dog drools less… if I were into kissing dogs…lol.
We played mash but I…think we had more stuff too? I don’t really remember, lol. And the origmami game thing we played that one too.
My first REAL kiss was when I was 15 and we both kinda sucked (ha ha) at it, and I was all embarrassed. Makes me laugh now.
My kids do the fold up origami paper thing and MASH.
My first kiss? I think it must have been w. Andy (at least I can remember his name!) and we were in 8th grade. Probably we were at the rollerskating rink, the first time. He live 45 mins from me and hitchhiked to see me. Then we kissed a lot!
My son’s first kiss was when he was two.
He wasn’t the cutest guy in the world. But I think he might have been the nicest.
I never really played MASH, but I loved playing that fortune origami paper thing (does anyone remember what that was called?). I also loved hopscotch.
The first time I had my real kiss was freshman year of college (I was very shy). His name was Kyle and it was during a high school football game. How cliche, right?
I remember MASH!
And I was 16 and his name was MJ and we were out at the lake. I had just gotten in my car to leave, because I was late for curfew and he leaned in the window and shoved his freaking tongue down my throat. I gagged.
But I had all those quivery oh my god it was a REAL kiss feelings too.
I can’t remember the particulars of any game, but I do remember playing them. First real kiss was the night before we moved away from Biloxi. I was in the 7th grade, he was in high school. The church group had given me a going away party. He was the last to leave. We were standing outside the back door right by the gate. He took me in his arms to give me a hug and then the kiss made me go weak in the knees. His name was Michael. *sigh*
OH….I played the paper thing, but never Mash.
I have a couple of FUNNY kissing stories: My first Kiss was on the Roller Skating bus with Dougie Gorham…I was 12 or 13 and I thought you couldn’t BREATHE while you made out. I hated it and thought it wasn’t what it was cracked up to be.
The other one was: We were playing spin the bottle and Dennis Sullivan told us all…. there is a New kiss out that the french invented and you have to touch tongues and I am going to TRY it on Sherry….He chased me around the house and I was yecked out!! I think we were only in the 4th grade????
My daughter plays MASH with her friends and they also play with those paper things you make and move with your fingers. We use to call those cootie catchers. hahahaha I have no idea why. Did you ever twist the apple stem and call out your abcs? That was suppose to tell you last name initial of the person you were suppose to marry. My daughter’s boyfriend ’s last name starts with a Z. I told her the other day that her apple stem was not going to make it all the way to Z!
How do you remember these things? I do remember the folded paper thing. First kiss, his name was Mike. I think I was 13. We were in Myrtle Beach. He was kind of a redneck.
I love coming over here….
MASH. I remember MASH. HAH, the things we do for love.
The end of seventh grade, his name? Larry. I was the only seventh grader at an eighth grade graduation party and felt horribly out of place, he fixed that
Don’t know anything about the mash game, but I know about M*A*S*H. Does that count?
During my 8th grade class trip to DC, during a game of Truth or Dare, on a bus, in broad daylight, I was sent into the bathroom to kiss Damien. That was the first time with tongue and everyone was watching. Very romantic.
I never played Mash, exactly, but there were a variety of games like that that I did love to play.
First REAL kiss…I’ll never forget it.
My first FRENCH. *giggle*
Rodney Edwards, behind my house, I was in 7th grade and he was in 9th. *sigh*
Young love, first love…
My first kiss was with a guy who’s now on The Daily Show. It was gross. I was 15.
My first real kiss (tongue involved) was outside the roller rink. I was so shocked by the slip of the tongue. Donny Damon - We’re still friends today. He calls me every year on my birthday, and tells me that I am the one he should be with. What’s really odd is that my daughter is friends with his kids now. As big as Virginia Beach is, it’s still small town.
