Sorry, I’ve Got Plans…

Tuesday, September 20th 2005

I have been on a bender with my house lately. Cleaning out closets, plucking through polly pockets and doing some long overdue spring cleaning. As I was knee deep in outgrown girly clothes the other day a funny thought occurred to me. I was busy giving myself crap about letting matters get so out of hand and wondering why it had been such a long time since I last tackled this chore when I realized that it was all your fault. That’s right – your fault. I would much rather spend my free hour in the afternoon reading your blog than sorting through barbie clothes, old magazines and paid bill stubs. No shocker there.

So while I was cleaning out my pantry and chucking stale cereal, I began compiling a list in my head. I started thinking of all the plans I have made with you, real life plans even though I do not know most of you in real life. As it turns out, I have quite a list.

Angie – I plan to labor in her beautiful garden until she takes pity on me and cook us a delicious meal. We also have a date to go and eat crabs at a local crab house.

Annie- I plan to ask her to teach me to ride a motorcycle, that is if I get over my fear of riding on motorcycles.

Cori- I have plans to work out with this woman. She is going to kick my butt, I just know it.

FTS- We have plans to settle a bet. If I recall correctly whoever can eat the spiciest food wins and gets to give the other a haircut. ( I win both ways here – hee, hee)

Interstellarlass & Happy Feet - We have plans to have a ladies poker night.

Lassa & Mary- We have plans to shop, shop, shop.

Meredith & Theresa – I have plans to read autographed copies of their first novels.

Michele – I plan to buy a lottery ticket with this lucky lady.

Misty- We have plans to someday move to Hawaii and be old beach ladies together. I think we said something about setting up a flip-flop stand.

Monty- Our plans include watching Survivor, wine and getting into a lot of trouble.

Poopie- We have plans to sit on her porch swing and share a six-pack of cheer.

Raehan- Our plans include us being neighbors someday. We’ll sip lattes while we watch our girls play and dogs frolic.

RugDesigner- We have plans to have a ladies weekend in Nashville which will include a drive in her convertible singing at the top of our lungs.

Sherry- We have plans to be on Survivor together. We’ll have a secret alliance going into the game and since she is a nurse, she’ll make it to the end. As long as I can be nice to the rest of the annoying castaways and not lose my ass in the challenges, we may have a chance at winning!

True Jersey Girl- Our plans include a party at her house and some wacky head wear.

Your turn:
Have you made plans with other bloggers? Care to share?
Post them here or play along by posting your list on your own blog.

*Note* These are the plans I can recall making, however, I am a forgetful gal. Unfortunately I occasionally misplace things in my blonde hair. Please let me know if we have made plans so I can add them to my list. Thanks!

You love me. You really love me.

  • I’ve made plans to have margaritas with three of my blogger friends!

  • I’m not as well connected as you. Most of my wishes to meet fellow bloggers is my own kept secret. Plus I’m a good distance from everyone now! You are so good at making a community in an instant. Much admired, cousin.

  • Not bloggers, but friends I met on a board back in 2000. We have plans to all meet for a girls’ weekend. Some on the west coast have already met, as have some in Florida, and others in the north, and in Canada. I do have plans to meet one that is in NoVa at the halfway Richmond point. Now I just have to do it.

  • Well, Dena, Nadine and I see each other all the time and they are the reason for my extremely high cell phone bills.

Spoiled-Grrl (site down now due to web trolls), Some-Girl, Nadine and I plan to meet in Vegas for a wild weekend.

TJ (Zazzafooky) and I decided that if we do the blogathon together next year, one of us will fly to the other one’s house to stay up all night together.

And MommaK, you already mentioned our plans!

  • I don’t know any of my favorite bloggers in meatspace. I just plan on visiting them at least once a day.

    michele sent me.

  • A pub crawl is in the planning stages!

  • I’m looking forward to lunch with your mom and sister this weekend!! I wish you were going to be here as well. We could do the girls weekend and sing with the top down, too!

  • This is interesting, because it is akin to what I began to do today — telling people what I do with my day by reporting on whom I visit. It is a lot of fun.

My big plan for the future is to go to Unga Chunga’s dance/song review and give a raspberry to the lady who thinks she’s God’s gift to music.

  • Sipping lattes will be soooooooo much better than sorting Barbie clothes. i mean, come on. Barbie can sort her own damn laundry.

Plans I’ve made?. Mine is having a big blogroll party at my house. So far, only one blog friend has been able to come.

  • Oh, Meredith! My secret plan is to visit you in Japan. See, I’ve got secret plans, too.

And UngaChunga’s dance review, like Hoss says.

  • *ahem*

I don’t recall there being any mention of haircuts in the deal. That constitutes work. :p

I met three bloggers on my trip to and from Denver — Monica, Andrew (The Gunsmoke FIles), and aka Monty, plus I met Lass, who lives close by.

When I move to Colorado, I hope to meet several more.

  • Wouldn’t it be fun to have a party with all those on my blog list?

  • It would be cool, but I live in the back end of no where and no bloggers live near me

  • I’m not sure that I know who else I’ve made plans with…I’ve just been lucky to meet a couple of my favorites so far~and I’m eagerly awaiting my MommaK meeting!

  • You do know I will down third week of October…

  • Sherry

OMG….imagine you and me on Survivor!!
We would be hilarious and we would kick their asses in any challenge. I just can’t seem to get myself into making a video that is all about ME.

Thanks for including me with you blog buddies. One of these days…

  • No, no darling. I did not even teach my adult friend or kids how to drive, it’s too nerve-wracking!
Our state has a motorcycle safety course. It’s very extensive about how-to, what-to and all kinds of stuff. Then they put you on teeny-weeny motorcycles and show you how to do everything. That’s the best way to learn until you develop your skills and move up to bigger bikes.
I would like to meet some bloggers and just chat in person!

  • You are the most fun girl! Seems I remember plans to come to Petroville and sleep asses to elbows with y’all
If I ever find Sugardaddy to finance my travels, I’ll be all OVER the place.

  • we’re spending christmas together and i’m going to make you jam, lots and lots of jam

  • Hey, that’s right poopie, I remember the asses and elbows sleepover, too! Good catch!

  • haven’t been here in awhile – just wanted to tell you I stopped by. I haven’t made any plans with any other bloggers. maybe i should.

  • You and I have never made any plans and that makes me wonder….WHY???? I think we need to have some plans!!! Don’t you?

  • I just have to add that some of the people I feel I can confide in the most and most honestly to are friends I have made on-line.

  • I’ve never made plans with a blogger because I just haven’t been doing it for long, but there are some bloggers I think are so totally cool that I’d love to meet them at Starbucks once a week. Or live next door to them. Or invite to my play group.

  • Add me to the list of ladies poker night

I have been playing on PokerStars.com and I placed second in a no-limit hold em tourny the other night!

  • Awesome blog you have. I enjoyed reading it this evening.
    Peace
    TreeFrog

  • Kewl blog you got goin on up here.
    Peace, JiggyWittit

  • Talk to me, Goose.
