Have you ever been behind a funnel cake truck and the next thing you know (20 minutes later) you look around and realize that you have no idea where you are?

I knew I had 2 choices:
(a) Keep following the truck in hopes that the driver pulls over and starts cooking up a delicious slice of heaven
(maybe even flash him with my lights a few times)
or
(b) Wipe the drool off of my chin and steering wheel, turn around and try to find my way back home
I chose B, but only because I didn’t want to get low on gas and have to pay these crazy high prices to fill back up. Something about the calorie intake/empty wallet ratio snapped me back to my senses. Oh well, it was a pretty drive.
Did you take a nice drive this weekend?

i drove to pick up my daughter from university, but i cheated and took the toll highway with no traffic, so yes, it was a very nice drive!
The funnel fumes had you. It’s a mind control thing I think. Cos I have the same problem when I find myself behind the Domino’s delivery car. hehe
I took some lovely drives back and forth from a soccer tournament all weekend- lovely in that the tournament was only five minutes away as opposed to the hourlong drives we usually face!
We went to the apple orchard and picked apples in the rain.
I drove to soccer games and dinner on Saturday. Yesterday I stayed home and laid on the couch, I wasn’t feeling well. So, I guess my answer would be no, lol though dinner was nice, my in-laws paid for it!
No long drives at our house this weekend. I mostly just stayed home and attacked the packing that had to be done.
No long driving for me.
I had to work all weekend.
What are FUNNEL CAKES? I never heard of them in theses parts.
I,too,would like to know what
are FUNNEL CAKES?
My friend and I drove to
the country and it was
spectacular.The colours
are beginning to show off.
Nope, no long drives for me this weeked. I do enough long driving during the week. :-)
Drove to my race and back, then to my daughter’s soccer game, then to the doctor, then to the pharmacy, then home. Then to the b/f’s where he took over the driving for the remainder of the weekend.
I eyeballed the funnel cake booth the entire time I was at the Boardwalk this weekend. However, I never actually stood in line.
You didn’t really do this, did you? You did? So I guess you missed the Petroville County Fair…
That’s really funny.
And no, that has never happened to me. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Funnel Cake truck until I saw the picture. Yum.
The only drives I was involved with were disc drives.
You had me at “funnel cakes.” MMMMMM!!
Looks like you found home, thank goodness!
Smiles!
there probably weren’t any goodies in it, anyway. but what a view.
I’m pretty sure I would’ve followed the truck until it got dark, hijacked the truck, and sat in the back gorging myself on delicious funnel cake until the cops got there. And then I’d probably puke.
I am a funnel cake fanatic. I will go to any fair, festival, etc. for funnel cake.
No long drives for me this weekend, biut I did stay busy.
What are Funnel Cake’s?!
I didn’t do much driving, the price of our petrol is ridiculous at the moment (about 3 times yours!) so need to conserve as much as possible!
Awww..now you’ve gone and made me hungry again…
They actually have funnel cake trucks?
And Ol’ Hoss thought HE’D led a sheltered life…
yes I drovemecrazy..
Josh and I relaxed mostly, and did a few chores. We had a fun reunion of sorts on Saturday night, with the interfaith family group that we were involved with for many years.
God, I love weekends.
HA! I have gone into la-lah land before like that, without the help of a funnel cake truck distraction. I think I’d have run that truck down and had myself a little cake! (Sorry, I’m out of control…I’m dieting…grin)
Yeah, I wrote about it Saturday, silly! I almost got run down by a wrong-way little ol’ lady. Bad drivers SUCK!
I would have chosen a. I love those funnel cakes. I did take a leisurely drive with a car load of pre-teens listening to their music VERY loudly and with all of them singing along. We stopped and got ice cream, then returned home the same way, awful music blaring and them all singing off key. Did I say that was a leisurely drive? I will tell you, these days will be short as she will be driving herself one day, so I am taking advantage of them while I can.
