No seriously. Besides gaining a better sense of herself, making new friends and having loads of fun at camp, my daughter is now the proud owner of a nick-name and was transformed into some 10 year old version of a Valley Girl.
On our ride home today I was counting how many times she said “like”. (I like lost track after like 15 or so.) Every sentence had a “like” in it. I guess like her like roommate like said like a lot. Or like something like that. Like I don’t know. But I like might shoot myself if this is like going to be a habit. Like seriously.
As we were pulling out of the parking lot I heard someone screaming, “Hey Kiwi! Goodbye Kiwi!!” and my daughter yelled back, “See you next summer Bubbles!”. Huh?
Well, at least she didn’t say like.

I know I am not alone. I just read Bluegrass Momma’s post and her daughter came from camp home talking differently too. This must be a common occurrence among girls this age. I only went to gymnastic camp as a kid and all I brought home was sore knees.
What about you? What did you learn in summer camp?
